I did this very recently. Depending on where you live, they’re offering promotions to undercut Fidium. Call and wait to be escalated at least twice - that’ll be their best offer.

I went from $85 for 250mbps to $75 for 1000mbps.

Just did this yesterday. Was paying $87/mo for 200mbps. I threatened to cancel because their price went up 10% this year so they lowered it to $70/mo and increased the speed to 800mbps. Definitely worth it to call!

You’re not wrong. But I would point you to exhibit A: every single one of you fives in a town and every single one of those towns has a FB page. And every single time something new or different or expansive is mentioned or begun, every slack jawed generational townie sharpens their pitchfork to go on there and say “ we’re becoming Massachusetts!!!1!” All because an apartment complex is being erected.

They cite the traffic it will cause while complaining about those people not working. They complain that it will overburden the school though there are less families with children per capita in apartments than in single fam neighborhoods. They bitch about the infrastructure while complaining about paying to upgrade the infrastructure.

It doesn’t matter. People complain. Progress is necessary and it’s hard because someone’s grandpa didn’t need a rail system to Boston.

The city of Manchester once had a very large population of French speaking Canadians. The West Side of the city was well known for it. But the population is old and shrinking.

Google to see what you find: masses, social clubs, Franco American club, etc. Good luck.

It’s comical that this was blamed on technology. I’m from New Hampshire and I’m currently in Arizona and I was just in an area with no service on an on maintained road going up and mountain and I was confident that I was in fact going to get stuck so I reversed 4 miles down the mountain because it was impossible to make a turn around. Even if I got stuck I wouldn’t have blamed it on technology I would’ve blamed it on me being a dumb ass, these people sound like dumbasses

I personally don’t find us cold either but just a little bit less likely to strike up conversations with strangers, though I personally am a bit of a chatty Cathy. I would imagine there’s Facebook pages and I also know there’s a few Franco-American clubs though most of them aren’t exactly cultural hubs lol

Yeah I didn't really mean accommodations, I'm fluent in english. I just meant a place where I'm more likely to talk to people in french on the sidewalk or at a cafe. I have hung out in northern New Hampshire, I found the people to be very nice. I dont know where the "cold" thing comes from. I have lived on both coasts and I long to comeback in the North East where I feel people are genuine.
