Westerns are slow and dull to me. But Mandolorian is gripping

I remember when the movie came out on VHS, it came with a bottle of Windex!

Also, they almost certainly went to some kind of acting school. A lot of film studios are contractually obligated to pay for acting school for younger stars if they're below a certain age. Even if it's just a few months that can make a massive difference

Out of that list, you really can't argue with the acting school ones.

Point Break and My Own Private Idaho are stone cold masterpieces, kinda crazy to have them that low (but I guess it's all subjective).

Unless strong violence deters you as well, for high octane, long shot minimal cuts martial arts films, The Raid: Redemption and Raid 2 blew my mind with their choreography. Beautiful and brutal ballet of skills.

Loved the movie enough to grab the audio book, but I haven't listened to it yet.

I would only change CTD to End of Days, but other than that i'd say it a good chart. And maybe an honourable mentions list. Red Heat and Junior should be somewhere.

I love the book. It’s very weird and takes a lot of choices I would never take as a writer, which is why I think it’s left such an impact on me. Genuinely left me shocked a few times. The movie is a shitty adaptation, but I was enjoying it till the end….and then the ending completely killed it for me. That movie really fucked itself over with how terrible the ending was

Hahahaa! Ok, I totes understand your need to distance yourself from buzzed (they’re not what they used to be!) and I’m glad you understood that I simply meant “popular pop culture media outlet”
Hey, blowback comes with the territory. You’ve got some fans that will support you, and that’s cool, too🫡

Which in turn was inspired by John Ford's westerns. It's all circular.

The humor for sure helps, and the fact that it’s less of a horror and more of a mystery thriller also helps, at least to me.
