Which in turn is a westernized version of Seven Samurai.

Saw that too. I thought it was good.

I also am not a fan of horror but I really like The Frighteners and Shawn of the Dead. Most likely because they are also comedies.

Sweeney Todd. I don't like musicals or horror/scary.

It's rather boring though. And that's probably the worst sin a movie featuring Adam Driver fighting dinosaurs could be. Because, how?! It feels a lot longer than its run time.
There's no sense of space in the world, the characters cycle through different backdrops without a lot of thought to them. So it never felt like we could connect to the prehistoric planet as a physical location.
Strangely it opts to put a language barrier between the leads which serves no purpose other than to prevent a deeper relationship between the two. It just makes the film's job harder than necessary. Whatever characters we get are bare bones and one dimensional.
The choice to mostly avoid realistic, scientifically accurate dinosaurs could have been used for interesting creature design, but it isn't. They're just a bit bland and I doubt they'll stand out to people. So really it ends up disappointing dino nerds, without exciting monster fans.
It's the shallowest of the Sad Dad's Bad Day cinematic universe.

The Devil Wears Prada. Saw this multiple times last week and it'sa perfect comedy. Streep is amazing and I enjoyed the rest of the performances.

There’s Something About Mary. That’s about as romantic as I can handle.

River's Edge is incredible. Essential roles for Crispin Glover and Dennis Hopper as well. Blue Velvet, but based on a true crime. Saw it twice in the local arty theater, when they were a thing.

Rom-comedy, I don't think they're even funny nowadays. But Kevin Smith and Judd Apatow made great rom-comedy movies. They're funny in authentic way. And yes, Jersey Girl is good movie, too.

I mean, DDL keeps coming out of retirement like a comic book character getting rebooted, so who really knows?😂

I assumed the OP meant currently working people in the industry. Otherwise, the list would be fairly long.

Tombstone. I'm not into westerns, but I like Tombstone. Tarantino's westerns are good too, but his movies are kind of a genre of their own.

Roger Deakins. Can make a turd of film look like a polished diamond (can't save the script or acting, but can at least make it all look good).
In terms of actors, I'd have to say Gary Oldman. Glenn Close can do it as well.

But I will watch "Pride and Prejudice" with Matthew MacFayden and Keira Knightly every day of the week, twice on Sundays.

So funny that this is downvoted into a crater but terrible movie poster reuploads from the same account are always at 10k+ upvotes. Reddit is a cesspool. Not being allowed to discuss movies on r/movies is hilarious.

This is definitely the movie I wanted to see. Movies about doomsday prophecies that can be legitimately avoided through human sacrifice never sit well for me.

It wasn't just an inspiration, Fistful of Dollars outright ripped it off, which lead to a lawsuit.
