You loved the film? It is baffling to me that you would love a film that you couldn't finish because you found the voice of the title character so annoying.

I will never bother to watch this, mostly because I don't give a shit about a Pinocchio movie and Del Toro movies are trash.

History Buffs (good YT channel) covered this years ago.

Ultimately, as long as there are no discernible words, I don't see a problem with it. It would be weird if the germanic tribe was speaking Zulu, but the chant is just intended to be intimidating in both cases.

EDIT: Just found an example of a recycled effect that irrationally annoys me in movies. This wooden door sound is forever associated with Diablo in my mind, but keep hearing it throughout a surprising number of movies. The Wilhelm scream is amusing, I don't mind it. But this one just sounds lazy, like no one's recorded a new door sound in at least 20 years.

I didn't think the story was boring in the slightest. I thought it was compelling to watch Dani's journey throughout the film.

>!She starts off feeling lost after the passing of her parents and sister. Then we watch as the cult cleverly disconnects Dani from anything she has left of her old life. She feels that the only real home she has left is with them!<

Then of course the great acting, cinematography, and dialogue. It's definitely not for everybody.

Hotfuzz, "you mother's!" "The greater good" and "it's only the one (insert topic in question) actually."

The big lebowski, "the dude abides, man." "Yeah, but that's like, your opinion, man"

Predator. " You are one ugly mutha.." "over here"

Wow, you don’t deserve to be called a psychopath for not rooting for insufferable people doing insufferable things. That’s kind of the opposite of a psycho anyway.

I also am not a fan of the trope. I need a reason to spend 3 hours of my life with a bunch of characters, and those films never provide it. But that’s why I check out of sigma cinema in the first place.

This is my answer for life and I will gladly die upon this hill.

The assumption that everyone has seen the movies you've seen is really fucking weird. There are young, healthy, sapient, literate humans scrawling the internet every day that have no idea what happens in <your favorite movie from the 70s, 80s, or 90s> and it's weird that you would include those people in your arbitrary spoiler timer. Why punish 15 year olds for not being up to date with all of your favorite 30 year old movies?
