Lol
What a faux tough guy response. The victimhood is off the charts.
Asking people to politely hide spoilers online is equivalent to “blocking public discourse on art”? Are you applying for a job with Tucker Carlson or something?

Yes, two excellent German war films.

Your audience can't see the flaws in the movie if they're blind.

I'm interested in seeing the answers to this one. I'm having a hard time thinking of any that aren't comedy.
I know Death Proof used some intentional "mistakes" to make it look like an older exploitation film

That’s a horrible analogy.
Your example would line up better with someone actively clicking into an official discussion thread for a movie and then asking people to not talk about the movie.

JJ Abrams' use of the lens flare as a purposeful artistic choice?

I’d say the same argument applies.
The age of the movie doesn’t matter as much as it’s pop culture ubiquity. Because the movie might be 50 years old, but every day there’s some kid turning 15-16 who is just now old enough to see the movie for the first time. They didn’t drag their feet and miss the bus, they just weren’t born yet.

Midsommar was one of the worst and most boring films I've ever watched. The story was non existent and it's runtime was waaay too bloated, there wasn't a single interesting character, and the acting was bang average at best. What was it that you found best picture worthy?

One of my all time favorite films. Never thought of it as a best picture nominee but perhaps I have better taste than I thought.

Yes, it takes little to no time to do and is courteous.

Jeremy Brett’s Sherlock Holmes movies are on YouTube for free. He’s one of the best to ever play Holmes.

Spoilers are always relative to the particular viewer. A warning costs nothing, there is no statute of limitations.

I complain only when I struggle to actually understand the point being made. I replied to what I think is your point in the second half of the comment, so stop whining.

Reply to comment by HEHEHO2022 in I keep end up disliking good films simply because all the characters are sad degenerate fucks and I hate them for it. Is there a trick to liking these kinds of films? by KellyKellogs
I used to hate tragedies and it was only after reevaluating how I understood tragedies, to stop rooting for the main character, but still empathising with them that I began to love them. I am trying to see if there are any tricks to enjoy films with characters that are evil from the start.
I tried in the post to emphasise my problems with these kind of characters and give several examples.

Ah thats a really good one. The Game (1997) is all mystery but it's very well done. Same director.

I couldn’t get past 20 minutes into Pinocchio because of how annoying I found his voice.
Was it any good?
Edit: was I really the only one? Didn’t think this was a controversial opinion.
