It's based on real life though. It says at the start of the movie.

But not everyone has the free time to watch something within the first weeks of release.
Not saying that gives them the right to get angry of something gets spoiled, but intentionally spoiling things that are still super fresh seems inconsiderate to me.

I really wish we got a director’s commentary track, disappointing he skipped out on this one.

I mean, your post might be a little too passionate… that said, I tend to agree. I loved Goodfellas when I first watched it 30 years ago. However, factoring in my current perspective of people, and how divided and vile the human race can be at it’s worst, I have less patience for movies containing strictly “unredeemable” characters, and the “rewatch-ability” of said movies is drastically low.

Since you count Squid Game in your post I would highly recommend Alice in Borderland.
People get teleported to an alternate reality where they’re forced to play games in order to survive. It does have an over-arching story and a mystery to solve. I liked it a lot more than Squid Game

Giallos are the answer!
I'd start with Argento's Deep Red then the genre essentials:
Tenebrae
Opera
Don't Torture a Duckling
Murder Rock
Night School
The Psychic
The Bird with the Crystal Plumage
Blood and Black Lace
A Bay of Blood
Four Flies on Grey Velvet
What Have You Done to Solange?
Eyeball
Torso
The Girl Who Knew Too Much
I'd also suggest DePalma's Dressed to Kill, Blow-Out, and Body Double.

What? He left both of them for a gay lover, you know no kid would want a broken family and Charlie the selfless dick didn't even think about that, to fix himself up for his daughter's sake. Her daughter is supposed to be the most important person in his life, but he only hid himself like a coward and didn't even reached for her.

Well, actually, it's not strange at all the you would find these characters repellent, because that's exactly the purpose of these movies. Godfellas is supposed to be a deconstruction, that is, a movie that shows how the life of criminals, which is sometimes glamorized, is really awful and full of blood, paranoia, misery and betrayal. Ironically, Godfellas is based of the lifes of true criminals and those were actually very very worse than their depictions (that's usually true for most of these movies, ditto for Departed and Black Mass, which are based on the same real life events). However, the movie was so well received that actual gangsters (including the real Henry Hill, who was interpreted by Ray Liotta) found it flattering, missing completely the point.

Spoilers are spoilers. Don't spoil things for people.

I am puzzled by the praise for All Quiet on the Western Front (2022). I found it a technically proficient film that lacked the pathos of the book and the previous movies. Das Boot is much superior.

This feels reasonable to me.
Like once something reaches meme/ quotable status gloves are of. If it's been around for a while but it's pretty niche, probably need the spoiler warning still.

Disliking mass murderers is not being on a high horse, it's just being human.

Once it is part of general culture it's fair game, like Rosebud or Keyser Soze or the end of Anna Karenina. Even if something has been out for a while, if it's not part of general culture, like The Handmaiden, I'd says spoil warnings should be used

All Quiet On The Western Front (1930) by Lewis Milestone is an absolute masterpiece. Do watch it if you haven't already.
Try checking out the Human Condition trilogy if you haven't already seen it.

Maybe they are just not films you enjoy and that's okay. There are a lot of good films out there with characters that work well for you. Just your tastes.
But also it's a movie, so wanting to tear characters limb from limb is probably not ideal.
