Days of Heaven (1978)

There isn't a lot of dialogue. The plot is slow moving so it's easy to follow.

The hook to keep watching is that it is one of the most beautiful movies ever made. It won the Academy Award that year for Cinematography and was nominated for three other Oscars. You can let the images wash over you like a warm waterfall.

Where I'm from, you can pay the equivalent of about $23 per month and have unlimited access to over 60 cinemas in the city I live in. With this subscription I generally go to the cinema 2 to 5 times per week, which makes a movie cost anywhere from $1 to $3 depending on how many times I've gone that month.

In addition to that I do enjoy collecting blu-rays and have no problem buying them used. I sometimes get some good finds for $2 at a second hand shop near me, otherwise there are plenty of deals to be found online.

I also very regularly record films that play on TV and finally you can find so many great movies from all over the world available freely and legally online.

My mom didn’t let me see Jurassic park in theatres, she might’ve been right cause the kitchen raptors woulda done a number on my psyche at the time but still I missed a moment

Rings of Power is a little inconsistent but I still found it good. I should stress the word good, as I didn’t find it great or a masterpiece or anything like that.

It has its shortcomings but at times it can shine. What I like most about it is the different races and their dynamics. Elves and Dwarves in particular are explored fairly well.

I would recommend giving the first episode a try. If you don’t like the first episode or see any potential in it, quit there.

This is an excerpt from the wikipedia article about the 1970s documentary "Pumping Iron" with Arnold Schwarzenegger. The article is talking about Franco Columbu, another body builder. Arnold got him a small part in "The Terminator" as the terminator who gets past the barking guard dog into a human refuge in Kyle Reese's flashback.

Columbu impresses his family with a display of strength by lifting up the back end of a car and angling it so it can [get out of] a tight parking spot.

Largely through streaming. I feel like Netflix, Disney+ and Prime have a pretty good selection of movies, and if you use a VPN you can access many more that would have been unavailable otherwise. Case in point, I saw Broker before it even released in my country by switching my location to South Korea on Netflix. It also should be mentioned that there are free streaming services like Pluto TV, Plex and Tubi that have a good selection of content as well.

The cinema is also an option, and I generally prefer watching movies on the big screen if they interest me. This year seems to have a good library of releases too which helps.

Jaws.

Young Renegade Untested Spielberg

The production issues forced him to take crazy chances and make amazing choices on how to tell the story ,leading to some of the finest blocking and shooting I have ever seen.

Awesome cast, great performances, amazing settings and scenery, the Orca is an awesome set.

great pacing great laughs great screams... it has everything. and by the time the shark shows up you are so invested it doesn't matter that it's "old timey" mechanical effects don't matter. you already have bought in.

Apparently Stalone is not a fan of the Creed series, but it's only to do with the producer, Irwin Winkler. It's good to see Peter Jackson may still be involved with the new movie(s). I don't think he was involved at all with the Amazon series, which I haven't watched.
