Cheesy in a way if you watch it now, I loved it as a kid though

2001 is a pretentious offense to the art of film. Otherwise i agree. Inception especially made me feel mind blown the next couple of days.

The Civil War shot of Cap holding the helicopter immediately came to mind when I saw the questions, but thats mostly all CGI too.

Based on what?

Independent animated movies don't really make money. It's just not worth it financially for most distributors.

Slashers are also probably pretty rich with these.
Jason Voorhees and Michael Meyers are always committing feats of ungodly strength to emphasize how fucked their victims are.

I try to not look at phone when I watch stuff, if I do I have to skip back. I may need to keep fidgets near me while I watch! I reeeaaalllyyy have to have the energy to watch foreign things with subtitles, it’s a massive commitment for me because it requires so much of my concentration. Saying that, one of my favourite movies is The Intouchables.

I did see it but it was 15 freakin years ago, long before I could appreciate movies like this. It’s due for a second look, all I remember is a briefcase bomb at the café and the colonel w the aviators

As I’ve gotten older I’ve realized that a great many articles, like this one, are about thebaithor’s growth as a person, not the movie. So I read them for that, to see what in the film was transformative for the author. That used to be a common thing to read, it’s what built the New Yorker, but we get less of that now and not as well written. Still, these kind of articles have their place, even if thebaithornisbstill in a naive place about what it is they’re actually writing.

I just mentioned uncut gems in another thread. You never get a breath the whole movie, so it kinda of keeps you from zoning out. Pretty stressful watch though
