My Favourite is The Wheel of Pain from Conan the Barbarian. Starts of him as a teenager then slowly changes to Adult Conan.

Uggghhhhhh. He released his grip on the helipad just so he could flip his hand over, grab the helipad again and really flex his bicep for the camera. Are you kidding me?? Lame.
It's one of the only Marvel movies I've ever seen and I for some reason went to the theaters on Cinco de Mayo to see it with friends when it came out. I literally laughed out loud in the theater.

Rush Hour
It was the first movie he wasn't allowed to do all his own stunts, even though the stunts were 100x easier than what he usually did. Before that, the rule was "If you see Jackie do it, Jackie did that".
But Rush Hour was still a fun movie for people who like real Jackie Chan movies. We were able to enjoy it because we thought it was a side bit of Hollywood fun before Jackie would return to the real work.
By the time Rush Hour 2 came out, it was clear that one little bit of compromise for the Hollywood producers and lawyers had transformed Jackie into something else. His golden rule was broken, and thus so was his career as an action star.

Peter in Homecoming under the rubble gaining the strength to push the collapsed building up after crying and feeling not good enough.
Yes it’s Marvel and yes it’s CG but fuck you it’s a perfect scene.

The pacing is what made this movie unwatchable for me. It was just relentless and exhausting. I really needed it to take a break for just a second for my mind to catch up but it never ever did. I felt like I was bingeing meth the whole time.

I think the movie is somewhat a Irish folk story/ fable. 2 examples of the top of my head is the old woman is literally a banshee and her presence means death and then the prominent roles of animals in the movie give it a real fairytale feeling. This makes the cutting off of the fingers much more "believable"

I think this movie was incredibly different from anything else (relatively mainstream) that was out at the time. So that explains everyone’s description of it being a “masterpiece” bc we hadn’t seen anything at that level creatively in a while.

I know you said not Marvel, and there is some CGI, but the scene in Captain America:Civil War, when Steve Rogers stops Bucky Barnes from taking off in the helicopter by literally grabbing it and pulling it back towards the landing pad was an absolute masterpiece show of both Cap's physical capability, and mental strength of devotion for his friend 😭👍

Almost all of those 80s action films had non-stop absurdly over the top displays of strength. All of Commando probably works, but you could probably pick any Arnold film from that era

I haven’t seen Foreigner, so for me the last Jackie movie I enjoyed was The Karate Kid. Although it should’ve been called The Kung-fu Kid.

Kurt Russell holding Scott Glenn from falling into the fire. His face was twitching & it made me think he was using every bit of his strength to hold him. Great scene.
