Something Wicked This Way Comes...

I've always liked Escape from L.A. better than Escape from New York. As a kid in the 90s who discovered The Crow and Snake Plissken at roughly the same time, I was all about the aesthetic of heroes with long hair, black leather coats, and motorcycles.

>Harvey Keitel and John Travolta are mentioned first in each of the opening credits
That's just because the biggest stars are always billed first. It doesn't mean anything.

I always see these articles about movies that are more relevant now than ever or how a movie predicted the future. It's always bullshit. These movies didn't read tea leaves it's just that the same bullshit that plagues us nowadays is still here and now people decide to pay attention to it.

Classic that everyone should see, Joker and Nightcrawler lift from it heavily and it eloquently says something really basic and important about what you see in show business, politics, or any stage like that, while at the same time just being effective on the level of psychological thriller or cringe comedy.

That was so wacky when they burned down the caravan with Brad Pitts mom inside.

No OP, please don’t give it another chance sometime! I couldn’t stand to have to read through another of these posts, where he doesn’t get the movie and insists everyone else is wrong about it.

That movie was weird as shit. That said, I love weird. Although I’m still unsure how it got so many awards.
I agree the pacing was weird, but I truly appreciate it when moviemakers try to go outside the box. I’m not saying they necessarily did it correctly, but I do think there needs to be more movies that don’t fit these ingrained formulas. And I did enjoy it.

Terribly paced movie. It doesn't deserve any of the recognition it is receiving.

That trailer is perhaps a little lighter than the tone of the movie, but this isn’t to say that In Bruges isn’t funny

They use the same score written by Bernstein. The order of songs is slightly different, but that doesn't change the musical motifs

Call me crazy, but I don't care when a bit character is changed. Heck, in this instance I didn't even notice and assumed the character was always black because, again, bit character.
Anyone who gets upset about something like this is just looking to be upset. It's presumably performative and not real.
And in general I only care if the character's race is important, which it certainly is not for this character.

Personally, I watched many movies and series, and the most prominent movie that impressed me, which does not have a main character, is Game of Throne.
In fact, a fictional series, it is very, very wonderful. I watched it through IPTV through this site www.iptv-original.com

Should be most musical films, right?
I can’t remember ever seeing a musical that didn’t do this.

Americans and their colours ...
You know the race of character is only important regarding on the story told? It is called "Acting", so you act out a character. How that character looks and behaves can be "a la lettre" "a l'esprit" or even totally contrary.
Stories are to be told. If you dont agree with the author, create your own work or dont monetary support them.
Dont bitch on the internet like the little person that you are or pretending to be Rn.
Honestly why do you even care!?
