Yeah, there are objectively beautiful people, as you've just admitted to. They also need some degree of acting talent to get decent roles.

Al Pacino in David Lynch's Blue Velvet instead of Kyle MacLachlan.

I really, truly hope that someone reads this comment and makes a deep fake of it. Probably not possible because of the huge difference in Arnold and Chris's face, but I would love to see your idea in action.

I guess my underlying point is casting is part of quality filmmaking and quality filmmaking is paying attention to detail to better tell a story (or not detract at minimum). Otherwise read the book.

Yeah I’m actually over realism in movies at this point.

Technically This Boy’s Life was his first movie. It came out 7 months before What’s Eating Gilbert Grape.

I have heard from actors at the time when he was even a teenager it was always but have your heard about Leo… he was crushing it since then, directors knew then even then how good he was.

Yeah man. I’m an actor and every day the most good looking people you have ever seen audition for roles and can’t get shit. You think beauty is some objective fact that everyone agrees on but it’s not. It’s a product that’s sold to you and you buy it because you want it believe in it.

The Mission (the music is almost ethereal)
The good the bad and the ugly (no explanation needed)
Conan the barbarian (this movie looks and sounds great)
Last of the Mohicans (watch the last scene)
Superman (the theme is so uplifting)
Raiders of the lost ark (come on!)
The Royal Tennenbaums (this is a compilation of music out together by Mark Motherbaugh. Great use of Nico and Nick Drake)

I think AI/deep fake technology will make some of these possible one day. I look forward to seeing this one.

You ought to seek out the original film version of Casino Royale from 1967, just to have seen it. Very, very, different.

I was just talking about this with a friend today. I said Chris Farley as a serious terminator in T2, Arnold's part. And David Spade would be the liquid one lol. But complete seriousness. Would be cool to see.
Otherwise various movies/actors from 90s. Hopefully this becomes reality once AI gets more relevant.

Exceptionally good looking in his youth, insanely talented and starred in the biggest movie of all time with perfect timing.

I was referring to actors, I thought that was obvious.

It's a good movie, but it also feels like one of those movies that actors love to do because it's mostly just about how much Acting! they get to do.

I don’t know. I feel like most 007 movies it’s all over the place and too long, but this run lacks any of the goofiness or charm of the older films.

Totally agree, I was expecting another straight forward period piece since I went in blind about anything more than the basic premise, but this movie was smart, funny, stylish, and somewhat flippant with the genres tropes.
The score added to the storytelling tremendously and the cinematography was creative for this genre. Emma Mackey was fantastic, a real highlight in recent performances.
On a funny note, the audience was 100% over sixty besides me (30’s) and I don’t think any of them enjoyed this film as much as I did. An older couple even left after the mast scene lol
