To actually answer you, you should see whether you can get some Harry Potter themed snacks online somewhere (butter beer, pumpkin juice, those weird jelly beans, chocolate frogs, etc. I know they sell them at the theme parks but don’t know if they’re available elsewhere

“Why does their opinion take precedence just because they created it? “

Because they created it. If they create the characters and the storyline, they know both and can speak of meaning and intention. Denying that is an attempt to assert power and control over something you don’t deserve power or control over.

“Death of the Author” is the ultimate appropriation of the creative by the non-creative. It’s baby boomer bullshit.

This movie was released in the States in June of 2020 to just over 100 theaters. Dig deep into that big brain of yours and think about why it may not have had much of a box office while being distributed during a global pandemic.

We are arguing semantics now. We have a different definition of what we consider "dark". Regardless, whatever "In Bruges" it wasn't what was promised in the trailer, and I am not the only one to think that. Browse reddit for "misleading trailers" threads and you will find this movie in a lot of them.
