Idk but I’m glad to see something related to Wet Hot American Summer. I loved the movie, the prequel series and I quite enjoyed the sequel series

The book by Paul Tremblay has a vastly different ending - you might enjoy that more.

Nah, but there was one guy who had one line and I was like "I can't believe they didn't reshoot that". I watched it last week (5th time) and one of the cops had a line that was so flat it felt completely out of place in the movie.
Basinger was supposed to be holding back, because that's her character: a facade.

Metaphorically "cutting off your nose to spite your own face". The parallels to waging a civil war in a tiny impoverished country are self evident.

That's the important part. Subtle is hard to do. Sometimes an actor will just make a little smirk or something and it's so in-character that I'm like "nailed it".

For me it was too metaphorical and over the top to be relateable. Worked better for me in Brugges and Three Billboards, where I could actually feel the pain of loss, grief and what other emotions of the characters.

There was one laugh track that was used in a bunch of 70s/80s sitcoms. There was one guy that made this “Ow” sound that you’d hear in Taxi and some other shows. We thought it was hilarious.

have you not been following the event of the last few years, in the US at least?
Horror movies take realism very seriously

The detective (Al Pacino) in Insomnia (2002). You can literally see Pacino on-screen playing it tough but struggling to hold it together inside as he's in a jeopardizing situation and inadvertently placed himself under the control of the criminal he's supposed to go after.

The Avengers Endgame soundtrack has so many scores that perfectly captivates what is happening in the moment, and matches the tone of what the audience is feeling.

That movie was overall not too scary for me but man it has a few unsettling scenes. Love how it was basically jaws in the sky

Maybe it is, but it is nothing like in the trailer. It is like ordering a big mac and getting a molecular gastronomy dish instead. Clearly not what was promissed...
