I loved what GDT did with Nightmare Alley. I love all old noir films, but the violence sometimes feels so dated, which can mute the climax. I can't think of any examples to remake, but I just thought what he did felt so potent. I mean he usually punctuates his endings with violence, which is why maybe it fit so naturally into his oeuvre.

Your entire resume could just hang on pacific rim, I have a 3d tv still, and whilst 3d is regarded as a gimmick usually, it's almost like a revelation to the viewers when I put pacific rim 3d on, quite literally they don't want to watch other 3d movies I own, just that one because it's so grand

He didn't. He was getting on the train to kill the hornet, and completely coincidentally run into Brad Pitt and recognized him from the wedding, and assumed that he must have also been part of the poisoning plot.

It's just another example of Brad Pitts character having incredible bad luck throughout the movie

I watched the original West Side Story with headphones last year and it astounded me. I felt like I was right there with the characters, with music swelling around me.

A lot of Studio Ghibli movies are incredible with headphones too. Princes Mononoke comes to mind.

Also, Umbrellas of Cherbourg has a truly haunting score that sounds great on any immersive sound system.
