i have severe (clinical) depression and every year when it starts getting realbad i rewatch Scrubs. it’s light and easy so i can turn my brain off i need. it’s funny so yay dopamine and laughter! it also has some heartbreaking and emotional episodes where i can just cry and wallow in sadness. most episodes have relevant “life lessons” that are good reminders when everything in life feels like shit. also the music is great. however i’m feeling that day (or hour), Scrubs has something that fits just right.

Thank you so much. I’m writing a paper on the film and couldn’t get my netflix to load to check. I appreciate you.

I also love the flashbacks to Po’s childhood, and the heightened stakes that force the team to be better at working together

Since my upstairs neighbors are a family of absolute dicks, all of them.
But I'll check some of these out as well.

“Where’s Mary? Can somebody Hail Mary?”
Dude had 30 years to cut that line but he left it in the new cut.
The biggest problem is that it adds nothing the the story thematically.
Michael dealing with the loss of his family due to his choices was fully covered in Part II.
Add in the Bad performances and bad writing and there just isn’t enough to save it.

He got info that his wifes killer was on the train is a very quick scene he gets handed a note. The Wolf, who recognizes Ladybug from his wedding, where his wife was killed. The Wolf mistakenly believes Ladybug to be one of her killers instead of The Hornet

My choices too. They all expand on the world of the first movie in a way that makes things even more meaningful.

Same. I’m convinced that Death is one of the greatest animated movie villains of all time. And that this movie is better than anything Disney has done in decades. Instant classic, that I rushed to see even though I rarely go to theaters anymore.

The action scenes are on a Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon level. And the villain is ideal 🦚

There are roses throughout the movie. Remember the scene when Scott Bakula compliments the roses in Annete Bening's garden. The roses represent hollow external beauty, materialism and status. Which is exactly what the middle class suburban characters are obsessed with.

And then The Way, Way Back, and then Peanut Butter Falcon, and then Moonrise Kingdom.

Watching Batman Begins and The Dark Knight on Thursday afternoon before the 12:01 Friday screening of The Dark Knight Rises. I spent the entire day at the theater watching Batman movies and it was awesome.

Based on the comments I’m guessing no one has watched Kevin harts 2020 film. So spoilers - the film is about Kevin wanting to be an action star so he goes to a school where he’s supposed to be training but instead he’s being filmed (kinda Truman show with hidden cameras.) About 45 minutes into the film Josh hartnett is introduced, he’s in it for a few scenes and plays himself. In the last scene he’s in he is killed by an explosion of an rpg. This wasn’t supposed to happen as everything else was planned, this was off script. Well a few more characters die but it turns out that it was scripted and Kevin is shocked. The only person not coming back is Josh. In the film premiere at the credits it says in memory of Josh hartnett as his character is killed within the film of the film. Now this is released to the public (film world) and has murder in it, this would be a snuff film and therefore makes this whole world feel offbeat proving most of the other stuff (comedy aside) feels pretty natural for the film but this bit is just plain weird.

How is Brad Pitt a world class assassin when he is constantly discussing what he's doing outloud?
