Even not that long ago in the UK, like ten, maybe fifteen years... You'd still see Clix vending machines with pre measured, powdered drink in them. Good luck on figuring out which soup it was. It was just labelled as "soup." ...and it was always mediocre but massively welcome if you were in a hospital, office, cold railway station etc.

As a concrete worker, there is a quarter in every single sidewalk, foundation, bridge deck, set of stairs, parkade ramp, or floor slab, that I've ever worked on. And I know quite a few guys in the trade who like to do it as well, so there is a fair chance that there's a coin in a lot of concrete slabs that you see.

Even if you don’t stand and wipe put a little TP over the sensor so you can stand and pull your pants up without that vicious water spray. Then you can yank the TP and get out before that nasty water splashes, at least at the high pressure violent ones like at my work.
