Side note: I've actually gotten to the point where by looking at how the light comes into my house that there's a rainbow. Tell the kids to go look and they think I already peeked!

Of course they fall out. A whisker is just a type of hair. They don't shed as often as hair, but they do occasionally come to the end of their lifespan and drop off.
