What price for a house or rental is affordable for you? How many bedrooms? Do you want a yard? Do you have a car? School age kids?
Details like this will help folks suggest areas.

Interesting article. Just goes to show the wealthy do what ever they want as the rest of us don't have the financial means to fight it. Its depressing and is why the imbalance of wealth will ultimately turn into a dystopian shit hole where the rich get rich and the poor get fucked.
Welcome to America!
I'll see you all at the path this weekend.

The affordable places aren't safe by New England standards.

It's worth noting her home is currently valued on zillow for 2.2 million dollars. Increasing 49k in value over the last 30 days. And yet, she complains.

You may have screwed yourself by pleading out, I didn't catch that. I'm no lawyer though.
As for the court, it's actually the opposite here. It's directly under the RMV and has no connection to the rest of the state court system. Which makes them hell to deal with, since they don't have any real oversight, so they do what they want. You're probably going to need a lawyer, unless someone with power takes pity on you.
Sorry my state fucked you over!

I’ll add Somerville did a study when prepping for assembly square that’s briefly referenced in the neighborhood plan for assembly and it found that increased density offsets the cost of new housing, if you’re on a town planning thing maybe you could reach out to the city government for the full methodology and results of that study

Eminent domain is not the best option, but at least it would stop the ongoing abuse of forcing this person to maintain what essentially amounts to public land without any consent or compensation

Thanks! I was aware of the reg month issue, but didn’t know if it applied in all cases.

Inherently authoritarian? So you’d prefer the government to force you to sell your land at a price they choose? Or you’d prefer private landowners be able to landlock public property by virtue of just owning the land around it?

Certainly, but not as much of a dick move as suing to end over 100 years of public access to a recreational spot that you knew about when moving in

Properties in MA can, and usually do, own down to the mean low tide line.
