I just used them as an example - and it’s a fine line because I’m not agreeing with NIMBYs - I agree need for housing, especially near mass transit should supersede trying to keep prices high in exclusionary towns, but I also get towns who are pissed because “if we comply then can we at least get the benefit of MBTA?”

I like that holden is in quotes.
What is the requirement for a town like Holden? The article says that the zoning generally should be within a half mile of the transit stop, but no part of Holden is even within 5 miles of a transit stop.

This was very clearly written by someone who hasn't spent more than a few minutes in each town. Especially if they think Great Barrington is some secret spot...

Same. So I did a bit of digging in the top posts in this sub, and it looks like there was a ban-happy mod (see the pinned mod comment here for example), who is no longer a mod. I’m not sure if that part was voluntary or not, and I’m not sure if they were replaced or there’s just fewer mods. There may have been other issues too, but that seems like the top one.
