You might also want to stop by the Historical Society to see what documentation they have on it. While they probably won't have blueprints or things like that, they probably have images of it through the years that would explain some of the alterations through the years.

Don’t ask your realtor. They’re incentivized to make the sale. They could be totally in your court (they’re supposed to be). But they know most/all the inspectors and will likely steer you to one that gets the deal through and. Ot make too many problems. YMMV but general rule is get your own and do your own research. Especially on a very old house.

This seems weird. Why would a harvest permit be needed for an invasive species? Good way to hamstring any efforts to eliminate it. Standard practice is to make invasive species fair game 24/7. Kill all you want.

This is...unusual

Historical aspects notwithstanding, I have had 3 inspections done by Ken Arnold of Ahearn Inspection Services. My RE agent recommended him as the best she had ever worked with and we were very happy with the jobs he did.

(edited to add: properties were in Northampton, Easthampton, Holyoke)

Thank you

Except green crabs are edible. Which is why it is all very confusing. It is like the Division says if not native then not edible and "lalalalalalalala" with fingers stuck in their ears.

Even the MA general law about taking green crabs say the only thing you do with them is either destroy them or use them as bait. No other uses are mentioned, let alone consumption.

No. You have to know people who grow them and get them that way. Some of us are working to make it so that it's legal to grow them and give them away state wide. As of right now there is no push that I'm aware of to make selling legal.

I'm not from metro Boston but drugs are regulated by the state and federal government and not by municipality.

So no ,here is an article very recent about the possibility of certain hallucinogens being legal soon but not now.Municipalities can't make there own drug laws.35 years ago the town of Wendell made pot legal and the state right away said no way.
