But I do believe they are knocking it down and rebuilding/splitting it into multiple buildings or something?
And yeah Castaway was definitely there ~10-15 years ago when I was at UMass.

That’s a lot of taxpayer money spent on Ninja Turtles that maybe could have gone toward school supplies or food for hungry children.

I never called it a baby. As I said before I’m pro choice. Even if it was a baby, someone should have the right to not have their body used as life support for a baby, hence why I support the choice to abort up until viability.
It isn’t ‘literally a parasite’, it’s just a fetus. Calling pregnancy a parasitic relationship is incredibly weird.

Yes, I was thinking more of, "we declared a war and got our butts kicked and all we got for it was a bad poem for a national anthem".

Boston could be the first municipality to institute a food recovery program, said Councilors Gabriela Coletta and Ricardo Arroyo, who filed an ordinance Monday proposing the plan.
If approved, the program would require certain food vendors — grocery stores, restaurants, and food-producing hotels — to give any safe-to-eat leftovers to local non-profits for human consumption. The ordinance would also formally establish the city’s first ever Office of Food Justice.A hearing for the ordinance will take place during the regularly scheduled City Council meeting Wednesday.
Coletta said this is an important step for the city because so many people lack access to food, and this program would “put foods in the hands of our most vulnerable at the end of the day.”
Food insecurity in Massachusetts doubled during the pandemic, shooting up from 8.2% to 19.6%, according to Project Bread, a food service program and hotline. As part of the City of Boston Food Recovery Program, food generators would need to start compiling their edible leftovers. Then, the goal is to have already established non-profits in the mix to help distribute to those who need it.
In 2014, Massachusetts started a similar program — the Commercial Food Material Disposal Ban — that diverted leftover food to recycling. Last year, it lowered the threshold for participating sites to those that produced more than one-half ton of food waste per week.

And neither is a fetus or embryo a “baby”.
But if you want to get technical, it literally is a parasite, leeching resources off of its host.

Disagreeing with majorities often comes with folks booing you.
Yes. That’s how it works.
You are as free to hold whatever unpopular opinions on end of life decisions you want.
And we are equally as free to boo you.

Oh hey, it’s the same argument people use to argue against reproductive choice. No one has argued that every terminally ill person wants to die, and personally, I’d love to see some statistics on your assertion that assisted suicide will pressure people into killing themselves.

This isn’t an awful sentiment, people with severe dementia and Alzheimers ARE a huge burden and the people in my family who have died of it would have been mortified to know the hardship it placed on their loved ones. Death with dignity is always preferable.

It's already happening in Canada and they don't have our disaster of a healthcare system. This could end really, really badly

Oh please let this happen. I would love for a “death with dignity” law in MA. Too much history of incurable diseases in my family.
