I second this. West st are Dickson. Westminster garage said the same thing to me about my 2000 Ford. Eventually it will fail but they keep passing it. Also came in with an e-brake that wouldn't hold, they corrected it for like 30 bucks and gave me the sticker. I'm 90% sure the brake still wasn't passing the true spec but they sent it along without a full replacement. I definitely recommend them.

They have a small beach and recreation programs for kids in the summer. They are currently overhauling a part of the beach (long overdue). Drive Inn is family friendly. Southwicks has a decent restaurant and special rates during the year for kids that will get you discounted entrance fees. They also have light shows during the Holidays. Just west of Mendon is plenty of outdoor recreation, bike/walking trails etc. If you like the ocean South County RI is about an hours drive with some excellent beaches. There has been a rumor that a grocery story is in the works...

CO&S in Templeton (On 2A top of a hill look for the 5 million vehicles parked everywhere) or TJ's (2A by Agway and the Bowling alley) is where I go. Both places are reasonable, CO&S is usually entertaining and TJs is more professional. I haven't used West Street for much other than towing but I know they changed owners last summer, I think Kelly is still on the desk though. I know Westminster garage is fairly thorough if you want a good check over. I'm sure that there are other good places around as well but the ones that I mentioned have all been straightforward and honest with me

That is super helpful. Thanks! We’re in the process of getting the IEP, so we’ll have that before we move. My kid is Level 2, but his biggest therapy need is speech, and he doesn’t have many of the behaviors that people stereotype as ASD. He only just recently got the ASD diagnosis, so we’re still in the “overwhelmed and learning” phase of figuring out therapy, but have concerns about ABA and really want to make sure the school he’s in puts a focus on neuro-diversity affirming therapies. I’m worried that some of these school districts with more limited resources will be much less flexible.

Wachusett has its really dedicated fans who will fervently defend the mountain. They show up often on icecoast posts. But I agree: it’s generally pretty pricey for beginners and gets very boring at advanced intermediate level. They groom 99% of the mountain, so natural and challenging terrain is pretty much nonexistent for skilled skiers.

What they have going for them is proximity to the greater Boston area, decent night skiing coverage, and pretty impressive snow making.

I hate the new 4 hour blocks too. I’ve only been there maybe 3 times since COVID despite the fact that I have two young kids learning to ski. You’d think this would be Wachusett’s wheelhouse. But the mountain is always incredibly crowded and at times feels unsafe and lessons are shorter.

I’ve instead taken the kids mostly to Pat’s peak. The extra hour drive is usually worth it for their kids ski school program alone.

I've heard out of state companies like Progressive and Gieco do not provide free windshield replacements when they crack or are damaged from highway stones. Is this true? My wife's windshield cracked last September and what would have been a $660 bill cost me zero.
