We order them online. But in recent years I've seen them at Star Market.

Yep. Remember the years where the snow wouldn't melt until April/May came around, and now I'm walking around in a t-shirt outside in the middle of February.

Than you can’t afford to maintain a house in New England. Try moving to Florida or New Mexico.

Second winter lasts until the end of April, right?

This sounds weird but a very similar flavor, with almond filling, is at Trader Joe’s: their Almond Kringle. It’s a flat pastry, over a foot in diameter, in the baked goods section. In a flat waxed paper bag, folded and stickered shut on the open end.
My friend used to order a king cake from Louisiana and have it shipped. That’s the other option.

If cohabitation (with more bedrooms) is not something you can imagine, then you're either looking to buy or rent more than one place.

They have so many little goodies there.
Between Randall's Farm in Ludlow, Atkins Farms in Amherst, Sapowsky Farms in Grandby, and McCray's Farm in South Hadley, those were always good places.

Reply to comment by ConceptualEconomist in Why Mass why? Highest LLC formation and annual fee rate in the USA by funkygrrl
I don't know about taxes.
In Mass:
Cost of LLC formation is $500 plus annual fee of $500.
Cost of S Corp formation is $275 minimum plus annual fee of $125.
In nearby Connecticut:
Cost of LLC formation is $120 plus annual fee of $80.
Cost of S Corp formation is $250 minimum plus annual fee of $150.
Connecticut is typical of most states. The cost of forming a corporation is higher than an LLC.

I used to live in Louisiana. The best king cake I’ve had since moving to Boston was overnighted from New Orleans.

I searched to see what a "King Cake" was, and it looks much like a "Bundt Cake."

This is the key. When my sister and I were kids they were our absolute favorite treat. It made it seem ok to eat a whole pie lol
