You know your response implies that you think it's possible to hear from myself, then, right?
Maybe your next comment will have you shooting yourself in the other foot.

This blows my mind. When I was growing up, we would have them in school and it was always a competition to see who would get the baby.

It's as much a thing in New England as Mardis Gras. I've only ever seen King Cake on the Gulf Coast (e.g. New Orleans).

It’s a giant donut cake with a ceramic baby Jesus hidden inside for you to break your tooth on.

Coffee Time Bake Shop in Salem -- their web site says they're making King cakes right now.

Moved from a rental in Medford to our own place in Easthampton. Best decision ever.

I suppose not, but you also don't need to make as much money out there as in Boston and the immediate area.

cries in Springfield
(Then again, Springfield DPW is horrible at plowing, so I guess this is acceptable)

There's a $75K household asset limit, meaning there's a limit to how much you can save for a down payment.

When I was in kindergarten we had a May snowstorm.

This is not a thing in NE. What’s a king cake? I hope it’s delicious.

Oh, for sure. We do this every year. I saw somebody post about the weather on FB and decided it was a good excuse for a meme.

That's fair enough. Might have to drive a few hours north to hit the slopes.

We bought our first house a couple years ago in Oxford and based the purchase ($340k) on roughly that income. I was working in Framingham and wife in Westminster at the time. A year later, we sold it for $450k. I don't even want to know what it's "worth" now...

There isn’t a downpayment limit, just a downpayment minimum. I have the ONE mortgage and I put down about 11%. I agree that 3% would be really hard to pull off with all the other program requirements.

In 1997, we had a mild February/March, only to get 2 feet of snow the first day of April. Be careful what you wish for!

I like the food at TJ Callahan's. The crowd is blue collar, and pretty chill, although I've only ever been there for lunch.
