So before the Gulf Stream can weaken climate change is making it more unstable, it’s migrated northward in the last 15 years and is spilling warm water over George’s Bank while cutting off the Labrador Current. Since we’re surrounded by ocean changes in ocean temperature have a big effect on our air temperatures as well.

I figure that would be the case even in public schools.

If you're planning on having kids, they'll have access to Shawsheen Technical Highschool, which is quite literally one of the best public schools in the state in what's already the best education state. Worth noting!

Since cops are quitting/ leaving/retiring from Democrat run cities in droves they figure its time teachers get accustomed to being corrections officers & cops. Have fun with that

I agree, this study is definitely dated. Snow/Total Precipitation rapidly started decreasing after ~1975. It would be interesting to see how that rate has changed since 2000.

I'd be interested to see a similar study from 2000 to present. I understand it's a smaller sample size than the study you shared but I think we can agree that there has been a significant swing in the weather patterns in the last decade. I'd love to see what that has done to the snow accumulation at those 21 sites.

That's what I gathered from what I read, yes. It makes as much sense to me as any other theory but I suppose I could be bothered to do the bare minimum of due diligence...tomorrow :D I'm going to bed

It varies widely from district to district and school to school. But be wary of working for a charter school, they can be quite exploitive of their staff.

Many posts in this thread about driving— where you can get to, easy access, or about the traffic. Seems like the dominant experience— the kind of suburb where everybody drives everywhere and the thing you can think of to say about Tewksbury has to do with driving.

so you are saying NE and the area just east of here (ocean) has become a warm spot. a spot that has shifted from being over the UK which would account for why they have been historically so rainy. and the UK area will now get colder winters?

I agree, suspensions did next to nothing for kids who got em, and less than nothing for kids who didn’t and has those kids in class with them. If kids don’t want to learn, they won’t, if kids do want to learn they will. I was an achieving student with friends who weren’t and segregated from me, I learned a lot from those friends and wouldn’t have done as well at life without them, don’t try to control the world with these weird ideologies

We don't. It's mainly a fun experiment to look into the etymology of words outside of Greek and Latin, introduced by way of French in 1066, to see what words either already existed, or what words we could use now.
And just to check: you know the Anglo-Saxons weren't synonymous with all of Europe, right? The language most Anglish adherents rail against is French, which is also very White. Greek and Latin - amazingly White. In fact, White Supremacists have a sort of affection for antiquity that isn't shared with Anglish at all.
A lot of words, especially from science, came from scientists coming up with words on the fly. Neat, but not very rooted in the vernacular. I can personally attest to how that affects us because it's always these types of words that students struggle with and have to learn. It's why English has spelling bees for its own people. It's easier to teach "bird study" than "ornithology", as the classic example goes. These are the kinds of words my students who are learning English struggle with. I don't consider making English easier to learn for non-White people to be very supremacist.
And for anyone still reading: words from Latin before 1066 are usually fine, as long as the concepts are unique. But plenty of Old English words existed for concepts we have now. They were just replaced with French for no reason other than classist belief.
