No shit Athena’s closed? He used to own Athena’s in Amherst and he owns Sophia’s in Greenfield. FILO’s is good, he also owns ummm Florence Pizza? Bruno’s in Amherst is Greek. I’m out in the woods in Sunderland. And yes, I’m pretty sure I am related to everyone else. Glad you like my extended family’s restaurants. We appreciate you very much.

S Corp is not a type of entity, it’s a tax filing election. If you are trying to limit your personal liability and pay the least amount of money talk to an accountant. To your original question though… most likely there is no legitimate reason as to why LLC costs more than incorporating. It’s just MA being MA.

Grew up in the area. Despite what some people are saying Tewksbury is totally fine. Normal, unremarkable suburban.

I would however say if you're looking in that area at that price range I'd probably pick Chelmsford or Billerica over Tewksbury. More going on for restaurants, more conservation land, marginally better schools, just better layout of the town in general.

I've read some (what I assume are watered down accounts of something else) things saying that climate change is weakening the gulf stream. Where it would normally go all the way across the Atlantic and make the weather in the UK area wet and mild with warm water from the Gulf of Mexico, it's ending around New England leaving that warm water off the coast here to a similar effect. Also would account for that same part of Europe to be experiencing the unprecedented cold winters they're experiencing. For example it historically doesn't get that cold in Ireland so it's easy to forget its at the same latitude as Newfoundland. If it's a trend that continues (and what I skimmed turns out to even be true) we're in for even worse summers here and winter's gonna get real fucking cold in the UK and Ireland.

Getting to 495 is a pain from Uxbridge. From the north, you have to take exit 20 (route 85), drive through milford along Route 16, then continue 10 miles further to Uxbridge center. From the south, you have to take exit 17 (Route 140) or exit 18 (route 126) and wind through the gridlocked dirt roads of Bellingham and mendon to get to Route 16.

The schools are afraid of lawsuits? How about cameras that cover every square inch of the schools with the exception of locker rooms, bath rooms and faculty areas. If a kid is guilty of unacceptable behavior the school will have a recording to show the parents or the courts if the parents decide to sue. In addition to cameras there should be a three strikes you're out forever. The onus should be on the parents to make sure the kid behaves or have to find an alternative education venue. Public schools are for all students and for those who want to learn, their education and safety should come first. Why cater to these idiots who aren't getting anything out the education that's be offered to them anyway. Put them out on the streets, it's where they want to be and will end up anyway. I know many educators who are demoralized by the politics over sanity in our schools. The consensus is they're just running out the clock until they can retire. Doing the bare minimum in the classrooms, quietly quitting. Among them there are some who are pursuing other employment. We need to legislate all of this unnecessary BS out of the schools.

We've known this for 20 years. Not that it's not still true, but aren't you guys tired of talking about this and sharing the same articles saying the same thing for over 20 years?

This study looks at snow accumulation and snow water equivalent (SWE) at 21 sites around new england. I have a more readable copy of this paper saved in a pdf if anyone is actually interested.
