As others have mentioned, home values are slightly less than surrounding communities (Wilmington for example, but Wilmington has better schools according to people who seem to know and is closer to Boston). I bet that means your home will gain even more value than surrounding towns over the next ten years. As people get priced out of towns like Wilmington, Reading etc., they will look to Tewksbury and that will drive up costs and the value of your house.

These ladies watch 3-5 kids at a time, so...and, btw, I'm an undocumented immigrant, so I don't make all the money in the world and I must find care for my son, so thank God for other Brazilian and Hispanic sitters.

I was bullied and the administration did nothing. I once had a pocket knife pulled on me and they did nothing

The one time I got assaulted and then beat the fuck out of the kid, I was labeled the problem. The kid I fucked up went in to commit arson and destruction of property, but I’m the asshole apparently

I agree it is prohibitive to new businesses being started.

Having said that I think if $500 a year puts your business in the red it wasn’t viable to begin with and you were for some reason assuming first year profitability in a new business.

People should stop watching Tik toks about starting an LLC drop shipping company for eBay or Amazon. And get a degree or a job.

You live in MA, and you are asking why our legislature did something and expecting some rational reasoning??? How long have you lived here??? lol, I'm being sarcastic/not sarcastic of course, but we could name endless laws that don't make any sense.

LLCs to have the protection of a C-corp with some tax advantages, so I'm sure it's partially that MA wants their due, maybe encourage you to go with the S-Corp.

As several others have said, if you don't need the closer proximity to Boston, consider going further north for more bang for your buck. You'll have a hard time finding anything under 500k.

Otherwise, it's a conveniently located town. 30ish minutes from Boston (without traffic) and 30ish minutes from either Salem or Nashua, NH. Close to 93, 495, and rt 3.

Traffic on 38 sucks but if you learn the back roads, you can easily get around it most of the time.

You'll have your selection of various Market Baskets to shop at, all within a 10 minute max drive.

Stay away from motel 6 and the IHOP that is there.

And as someone also mentioned, the gun club is very active and you will hear it a lot if you choose a house nearby.

It is also very Republican (several neighbors still waving their Trump flags around), and God forbid you ask them to get rid of the Redmen mascot. Still has a very towny vibe, but there has been a shit ton of development over the last 10 years and a huge influx of new people.
