I've seen that reaction, but nothing of substance when it comes to claims. It's usually someone who Googled it and ran across that SPLC article, which is quaint, but stupid. White supremacists love Rome and Latin - that sub does not. The idea that language needn't be convoluted to gatekeep shouldn't scream radical identity to you.
What in particular makes you think that sub has anything to do with race?

Nice town, Donna's Donuts, Waffle Place, Bowling Alley (and new treehouse place) are all draws. Rt 38 is a depressing drag but has a lot of stuff on it.
I think they closed the airport that went over the arcade?

Sounds like having 30 kids in the room is part of the issue. WTF.

You might want to research the ice ages the planet has gone through. Not fun for anyone involved.

It's called "In-House" suspension. Do schools not have this anymore? Do schools not have a dedicated room for this? It worked back in the 90s, add a cop and it would work today.
Edit: For those who never had this, let me explain how it worked. You went to school and reported to (or were sent to) the In-House suspension room. Desks were arraigned around the perimeter of the room right up against the wall and facing the wall. There were office type partitions between the desks. There was no talking or interacting with others and video games were banned. Your teachers were notified of your IHS and could send you class work if necessary. School lunch orders were taken by the attendant and delivered. Three 4 minute bathroom breaks were spread across the school day between periods.

I also thought schools werenât babysitters or supposed to be parents? So are schools supposed to âhold the lineâ or not?

Right. It is a law from 2012. Nothing new.

Admin have been using suspensions freely or not depending on their inclinations for a long time. The law is MA makes suspensions without an attempt to re-engage the students a thing of the past. See https://vdhboston.com/massachusetts-legislature-amends-student-discipline-law/

Isn't the same sub that told people, "A few random warms days in winter is normal"? Yet, almost none of those people here saying that now.
Strange.

âOccasional.â People have different tolerance levels with driving. I donât mind âoccasionallyâ driving several hours, even with traffic.

There's a good variety of locales in the state and it's hard to give any real input here without knowing what you want. But in my opinion at least I wouldn't recommend moving there. The entire corridor from Boston to Lowell just kind of sucks. You get a lot of the cons of densely populated areas without much in the way of pros. It's expensive, public transit isn't great, traffic is consistently a nightmare and one way or another you're going to have to drive 30 minutes to an hour in either direction to go to anything fun.

we had one day that it was -5. and the next day it was 50. The averge low so far hasn't even been below freezing.
I'm 10 years younger than you and I remember we used to start getting snow in mid-Nov and there would be snow on the ground the entire winter, until mid-Feb or so.
