Yeah, y’all has become a lot less regionalized to the south over the past decade or so; and as a lifetime MA resident I’m always up for shortened words with as few consonant sounds as possible 😂

There’s a Market Basket next a Papa Ginos on the same road as a Market Basket next to a Papa Ginos. But in all reality, I lived in an apartment complex in Tewksbury for two years, and while the complex SUCKED (Lodge at Ames Pond, who cares), I enjoyed Tewksbury. I’m in a neighboring town now, but still find myself in Tewksbury a lot for various food and shopping. Also the zip code is easy to remember.

West Nile is not the only disease spread by mosquitoes. Here is a good source on why it’s a growing issue. A significant expansion of mosquito (and ticks, can’t forget about those) breeding more northward can have significant worldwide impact.

Also, I would’ve hoped that the last several years would demonstrate how dangerous communicable diseases can be.

Suspensions have been proven to have little to no effect on at risk students. Those having issues IN school are unlikely to be bettered by allowing them to just not be in school. And secondary “send suspended kids here” institutions are just daycares.

Yea the school system is suffering but saying it’s not penal enough is your misunderstanding of the system on the whole. I have lived in and among ISS and OSS districts with high non compliance penalization and all it does is piss off the teachers because of increases in bureaucracy

There is a lot of affordable housing for the elderly in MA, but it tends to have a long waiting list. I would find out about several local housing authorities in their town and the surrounding towns and get them on those lists. Then get them signed up for whatever other benefits they qualify for (you want to maximize money coming in and minimize money going out because you're getting them ready to move and you need to have a hard look at assets and income to do this optimally). Be sure that their paperwork is in order (health proxy, will, maybe even power of attorney). Then talk to a lawyer about how to sell or write off the house and move them in a way that impacts you the least and gets them the most value -either $$ for the sale (the land has some value, even if the house doesn't. all land in MA has value). You really want to consult a lawyer on this part, because there are so many tricks and loopholes and you need to get it right. Also, please talk to your local senior center, and if the one in their town is not great, find one in a nearby town. Senior centers are plugged in to elder services and all the other government agencies as well as Medicare and Medicaid. They can give you a lot of advice and put you in touch with the right people. Plus, check your regional Elder Care service agency - they can provide you will a lot of help too. Good luck, it's a long road.

Damn do I feel bad for the students you’ve had through out your career. This will be my last comment, but I’m sure by your track record it won’t be yours. Good luck with whatever you’re trying to accomplish.

Whoops! Yes, it got rid of the singular. I was just thinking about the plural of "y'all" since it basically moves "you" to the singular" and creates a plural in its stead. I meant to say it switched over but had a crossed wire. There are some movements to get back "thou" in some cases. Probably a sub. I spend time on r/anglish as well, and you have big advocates there.
