Try somewhere where there’s an agent in a booth selling. I can’t remember if anywhere in JC has them because I’ve never needed one, so you might have to do it in the city at a subway stop.

>Lol TIL I'm a welt

I mean, when you keep insisting on using irrelevant personal attacks in a lame attempt to back up your argument, you're a welt, yes.

>law went to damaging your car

That's because you misunderstood the argument. I never made the claim about damaging MY car. I've always stated from the get-go that my reason is aesthetics. My "damaging bumpers" argument arose from when you said you can solve the uber front plate issue by requiring front plates. That is when I made the argument that you would be forcing people to drill into their bumpers, as not all cars have factory tow hook mounts. The "damage" argument was meant to apply to the population as a whole, not me personally.

I hope that clears it up for you. I'm not sure where you're getting this whole "the man can't tell me what to do" bit, so I can't really help you there. It seems like you're just trying to build me up in your mind to be an objectively bad person so you can justify your unwarranted vitriol.

The problem was my original gym was Linden, but after I moved to Louisiana for grad school I had my home gym transferred there (this took literally five phone calls to NJ and over an hour in the Baton Rouge gym just to get it transferred). I returned to NJ for lockdown when campus closed, and PF alerted us dues were being suspended. When they opened again I was not comfortable going back so soon and asked to cancel if they wouldn’t let me stay in stasis. They said I had to cancel in person despite being 1300 miles away during a pandemic. I sent emails, I called, then they moved my home gym back to Linden without asking. Linden was confused and kept saying I had to go to Baton Rouge to cancel. At some point while changing banks they missed a single payment and then refused to let me even request the form without paying the $25 plus a $10 late fee. It was nothing but nightmares for literally three years until I closed my bank account. It’s hard to deny the $10 membership it’s just so many horror stories about leaving I’ll never use my regular account again. If I do sign up (it’s looking likely), I’ll do so with a prepaid card to avoid the drama again.

My experience was very different (was a member at Hoboken's PF for years). Cancellation was straightforward. May I ask where you were charged? (Want to avoid it!)

In terms of local places, Club Metro is about $50/month, though you'll pay an annual fee and some other nickel-and-dime BS. The gym has some wear-and-tear, but you'll find everything you need and more (it's huge).

Did you forget this question you posited me?

You asked me why I didn't want to run one. I told you it's primarily for aesthetics from the get go, which includes position of the plate and not having gaping holes in my bumper if I DO move the front plate to the tow hook. See how those interact?

Also, not all cars have a tow hook you welt.

I do enjoy your ad hominem attacks though, really backs up your argument.
