You sure it was JCPD and not the PA cops? If so, that would be front page news!

99% of cops don't pull people over for just lack of front plate. I have not run one for the last 4 years and never had an issue.

You said it at the end, balance.
All these idiots driving around with no plate are a disaster waiting to happen in a car accident. Already had an issue with one dude who hit my car and had a fake plate.

I get it...but embrace living in a city where the cops don't bust yer balls over every little thing. You want that kind of policing go live in anywhere in Bergen county, or Morris county. The first day I moved into Madison I was pulled over and out of the car for a seat belt. But balance is hard. In other news I hope you don't need police to respond to an emergency. You will likely be waiting...and waiting...

But like, won’t they get pulled over all the time if they drive anywhere that isn’t JC?

Ironically I've saw someone get pulled over for running a stop sign after watching JCPD not pull over people for anything for over two years

For the dash one, that's typically so that they don't have to drill into their front bumper

Within months of moving to Jersey City I realized you have to do so something super illegal to get pulled over. This is far from that line.

I’m from New Orleans and I can’t believe just how similar jersey city’s corruption is. It’s the Wild West

This is the way. Unfortunately in places like Jersey City you’re always going to have parking enforcement people that don’t look at things the same way. You basically have to get into a habit of grabbing pictures of your spot and sign if you notice that there’s a ticket on your car when you come back to it. That being said there should be an address on the ticket as to where the offense took place I would cross-reference that with where you were parked and if it lines up it really should be cut and dry if anything try and put your car back into a similar if not the exact spot and take a picture of it for reference.

Because NYC sends them to Newark. Newark actually has good homeless program but it just cannot handle the numbers that come. People from other states (like Michigan) come to Newark for its program.

I mean... whose gonna check? Been here for a year and only seen police run through red lights with sirens and turn them back 5 seconds later.

Something I see a lot here that I don’t see elsewhere in the state is people who have their license plates inside their cars, on the dash or behind the back window. What’s up with that

You should not be paying court fees if you've committed no crime. The court should be paying fees to you, in an ideal world.

Paying it means you condone it, and are okay with getting another one, and another after that, and then another one. Why not? You'll pay it.
