Had no idea--just assumed there was parity between the two services. How big a difference is it? Lyft used to be known as more "driver-friendly," no?

I gave up on Lyft a couple of years ago (after bolting from Uber due to their well-publicized issues). Same issue--when I could actually connect to a driver, they would cancel more than half the time. Now back to the evil Uber empire.

I like the part where we can’t ever just have a nice moment without taking it to the other extreme.

Welcome to the neighborhood. I've lived on the same block for 20+ years, a bit farther west towards Chestnut. You will notice the train noise, at first. After a short time, you'll be oblivious to it. I never notice the horn blowing. To be honest, it's not an issue. Those douchebags with the fart cars on Newark will be way more noticeable. Nice quiet area. You’re between Morristown and Somerville/Bridgewater, so there’s plenty to do.

We also faced multiple group of teenagers harassing people near Newport area. Did not steal in our case, but had spray cans of foam spraying it all over people and running away.
