I Always use Lyft. 0 issues m although I don’t use it at rush hour. I get priority with Lyft plus.

That must a recent issue. My daughter lives on Tonnelle Ave and she has never had a problem. She takes one every other day to Hoboken for work.

Lyft has been useless for years. Fares are always lower than uber but no driver ever accepts their rides. I’ve given up on them

Not sure what’s been up but since the pandemic it’s been this way for the most part. Seems to be the same regardless if your destination is NY, further in NJ (eg Union), or even places like EWR.

Nope. Last Saturday they were waiting inside the LR hiding to pop out after the doors closed.

Anyone remember the short-lived wine bar somewhere down in Exchange Place / Paulus Hook? I think it was where the Krispy Pizza place is now in Liberty Towers.
It was a nice wine-bar, but only stayed open less than a year.
Robin.

Don't the ticket checks happen as you get off?

Nj drivers can’t accept NYC rides so they usually cancel since the app seems to match NJ drivers with NYC bound passengers despite the rule. I usually message my driver first after matching and ask if they are ok driving to nyc. This saves a lot of time for everyone.

Is that why there's so many Home Depot carts just chilling on random blocks lol?

Yep. I'm getting at least 5.

I don't get the activation thing still. What if you just hop on and click activate? It's not valid for 3 minutes so you're suppose to stand there and wait without getting on? LR passes every 30 minutes on weekends lol.

Great, im running low! Ould use a couple to organize my trunk again
Nuplex t1_japfbnq wrote
Don't worry about activation, they always warn on it (but let you go), it's just important you have the ticket. Checking is rare but most common at Hoboken.
I don't personally like the activation system. It takes longer than some trips, and is a relic of paper tickets. For the app it doesn't make sense.
guccifarmer28 t1_japdc7v wrote
From my experience, they usually give a ticket on the spot. If you didn’t get one, you’ll be fine. If they only have a warning then you have nothing to worry about

Never crossed my mind why there were no baskets at the store. And I never use the carts cause of the geofence and b/c they’re one wheelie away from not existing.

Why are folks down voting this? There has been and always will be a war on poor people it's very much the American way.
ffejie t1_jap6c4o wrote
They also give you a written ticket. If you don't have ID, there's basically no way to write you a ticket.
If the officer didn't ask for ID, you're off the hook for sure.

So walking out with the basket isn't stealing because it's not for sale?
Home Depot has such a problem with people walking out with power tools right past the employees that they're implementing a system where the tools need to be activated digitally at checkout to be able to work.
