LOL people have not gotten better with wiping down equipment, they're disgusting. I just went back to the gym for the first time since before covid (masked with a kn95 and trying to distance) and wipe down everything before I use it as well because people are disgusting.

I'm not the OP but I'm high risk because I have an autoimmune disease and also I have a job that gets extremely fucked up if I call out sick or expose anyone else to covid.

Yes posting about the many corrupt acts our mayor participates in on a public forum filled with tax payers who (hopefully) vote is definitely the same as crying over someone saying jersey city is lame.

Might wanna lay off the stimulants buddy.

Don't know, but we've had to reboot our router twice in the past week or so, and even before that, the streaming services on TV had started buffering more. We thought maybe the router was starting to give up, but it's not that old...

You do realize that the budget comes from actual citizens who don't have the ability to endlessly shell out more money for taxes - just look at all the outcry about increasing rents in the luxury buildings. Even those people are feeling the pinch. That's why people are freaking out.

I have no idea why people get upset if JC is referred to as a small city. Who cares? NY is right across the river if they need to feel bigger. This is a glaring case of grandstanding and nothing else.

Seems like you and your partner already had Covid and have vaccinated at least 3 times based on your post history.

Your hybrid immunity should be very good at this point (this is from well established peer review studies) so you shouldn't worry more about Covid than other respiratory infections.

Not exercising because you couldn't find a "safe" gym may be worse for your health in the long-term.

I have finally figure out.

When the country was in better state, and people had good job, people worked and everyone was happy. With the rampant crime in the USA, and the increase in cost of living, people are looking for hacks to cheat the system. Some of these folks are sovereign citizen who are trying to come up with ways not to pay for small things like car insurance and hope to not be noticed by the government. And when they get caught, they have this long list of excuses why they are misinformed. In order to reduce this crap, the USA needs to fix the country as a whole. We need better education to reduce idiot republicans talking again about secession and getting reelected. We need gun controls to reduce crime. We need to increase the minimum wage. And then everyone would be happier and smarter... and nobody will believe this nonsense of sovereign citizen, myth on vaccine, etc... we need to be smarter like before 2000.

The JC budget is like $700,000,000. Comparing hosting one of the world’s finest collections of modern art ever assembled here vs the little upstart galleries and comedy clubs is like not even in the same stratosphere. People on this sub go ballistic if you call JC a small city or a suburb city, but then utterly freak out when the city takes a big swing like this to elevate itself to something more. $6M out of $700M for this is a no brainer, IMO.
