Not really the main point, but I think the term you're looking for is not "barrel", unless you're actually planning on transporting a liquid of some kind. You'd want a shipping container/crate or some other thing with right angles.

If no one here has a good answer (and that's a pretty specific ask), perhaps go to some Jamaican restaurant or shop with Caribbean goods and ask them.

They are slaughtering the Heights right now and have been since earlier this week. People are getting tickets stacked up. You need to get some sort of permit or they will continuously ticket you until you do so.

Also there is no need to activate the ticket!

I buy tickets but don't activate them so if im in a rush or forget I have one. The one time I was stopped to be checked they just asked me to activate it. I did and I was on my way.

It makes sense because the timer is sometimes longer than even some trips on the rail.

The issue is that people can self report people without permits and if they do, parking authority always come around. Whenever a whole street gets hit at once, I assume someone reported it so there is a risk they do it again. You can’t get 2 permits for 1 car, that doesn’t make sense

A couple of things to consider:

  1. Resident permit requires car registration, owner's DL, and lease/deed to have the same address. So it is not possible to get a parking permit for someone else, or your own car if these docs are not synced.

  2. AFAIK, each address in JC (or apartment/unit it is a multi-family building) can get at most one parking permit. If the building comes with parking, you need a letter from management/HOA to say there is no more space for you to rent/buy.

  3. I am not sure about the rules posted on your street but usually zone permits are only enforced from 7-9 (or 9-5) on weekdays. In general, they should not ticket you on weekends or in the night, unless there are some other rules like 24H no parking.

Anyway, if you feel you were ticketed incorrectly, you can always appeal it. If there is indeed a no parking rule at 4:40AM, just pay the ticket, then either get a permit or take the chance (personally I cannot imagine someone going out at 4:40AM a lot just to ticket people). Hope this helps.

In theory, it should move pretty fast if the floor is in and drywall is up because plumbing /electrical beneath all that arguably takes the longest while everything on top (shelves, signage) are the final steps.

Lol a girl can dream!

Also recommending the LSC After Dark - first and third Thursdays, the place turns into dope club-like atmosphere. With the ticket, you can purchase a special entry to the Pompeii exhibit, which gets you upstairs to see the exhibit with a smaller crowd, and a cheese & wine spread to set the mood as if you were eating in Pompeii. Figs, whole grains, jams, cheeses, olives, grapes, etc...

I've seen the exhibit. It's pretty neat! As an adult there are some fascinating tidbits of knowledge that I learned inspire how we do things today.

Also, the night time views of the city from the observation deck is really cool!

I agree the city is surely not easy to work with, there are definitely comparable projects in the city that have been completed in much less time. People get paid a lot of money to design plans to accommodate for local building regulations on these projects. It seems to be a problem on the WF architecture/contracting level imo

What kind of barrel is this and what's inside. If this is any kind of alcohol or food substance you'll need help because there will be all kinds of documentation and permits involved.

You're best off asking for quotes from freight forwarding services asking for a spot quote on an LTL shipment. This basically means you'll be secured space in a container of other goods routing to the same Caribbean ports. They can help with the details and if necessary arrange all transportation to door. This might not be cheap but it will be far easier than trying to do this alone.

Type and size of cargo matters. If this is just a small barrel of non regulated cargo then bring it to your local UPS or DHL office.

Also, not for nothing, the ticketing process is becoming more and more like the honor system.

I live in Newport and take my son to speech therapy next to the Jersey Avenue station twice a week. There have never been ticket collectors at either station in the year-plus we've been taking this ride. I always have an e-ticket ready to go in the NJT app on my phone, but it just sits there.

I do see the ticket agents at Hoboken waiting for people getting off to connect to the PATH, but that's about it.

There are lots of problems with the light rail - more so than with the PATH. Nevertheless, it runs regularly enough to be used for commuting. As others have hinted, the number of disruptions in weekend service is distressingly high.
