Reply to POD container @ The Beacon? by Impossible-County-57
I don’t know about the beacon specifically, you should call them, but most JC buildings don’t allow a POD for moving for the very reasons you listed- they’re not City friendly.

Reply to comment by EksXxx in Has anyone tried SCRAM cafe/bakery at Downtown JC? What should I order from them? and do you have any idea why they are only open from 8AM-12PM and are closed twice a week? Dont they need money/profit in this economy? by EksXxx
Pastries are good but a little pricey (I guess to sustain the 3 days of the week they’re not open). I always get a donut or sausage roll if they’re available. The burnt honey cake is great too.

Must have the ham and egg bun. The pineapple jam is just perfect and elevates this sandwich!

It's not about the wait time, it's about how crowded those trains get because they are running fewer trains. Peak Saturday JSQ-HOB-33 is suffocating

Try an email first, then a phone call. I’ve had a post officer worker tell me that sending certified mail to government agencies doesn’t always work since it requires a signature.

Hey thats perfect. We've started a group chat. I will DM you. I'd like to make polls for upcoming races at reasonable times to see who wants to host in Hoboken and how many they can hold.... my ideal race day is some friends, new faces, a bag of bagels, and a TV spot on a couch.
Maybe eventually we'll even get enough interest reserve a bar in Hoboken.

I’ve lived in both places but traffic is way better on this side of the Hudson than it is on Long Island and parts of Westchester. Maybe it was different pre Covid

Just now I came across this picture of the cloud that formed over the derailment chemical fire as seen from above (source tweet linked at the bottom) and felt it was appropriate to post it here. Really scary stuff.

According to the comments the plan is just tax breaks and incentives for developers to do this.. bleh guess that might be necessary since it seems more complicated infrastructure wise

I’m aware, thank you. I don’t see where I suggested single-family suburbs, but I totally get how my comment implies that. Rather, it’s great to see the outer boroughs and JC thriving as opposed to a few Manhattan neighborhoods. Plenty of people still enjoy living in cities for residential and social reasons even if they don’t need to commute to a central business district for work.

2 min and 5 min, truly awful first world stuff we need to deal with, and which will just result in riders staring down at their phone for an additional 2 min and 5 min respectively.
