I chuckled at first, but then I thought about it a bit. The joke is that the Chinese spy balloon is delivering american-chinese takeout food. Haha those ridiculous communists. But there are no fortune cookies in China. The people who work in these restaurants are not the CCP; and I know that's not what you meant but the joke implies that they are connected. Does anyone remember Freedom Fries? Bans on Stoli and Smiroff? That's all.

Their non-outlet stores are definitely high end.
Newport has Swarovski as well, and Express which I'd call upper-middle class tier. The mall isn't fancy but I don't think I'd call it down market and working class to the extent people here are. Jersey Gardens and Woodbridge are the "working class" malls of the area moreso than Newport.

Risky I would say. Seen a lot of people getting towed by sleeper agents from Phyrexia parked in the lot watching

Weekday or weekend? Weekday - Sam AM or Beechwood Cafe. Weekend - most places do brunch, but White Star is the best IMO.

At this point there’s also the possibility that they find its dead body somewhere and can test it.

I don’t mean the mayor. While sure he has some power here along with the building dept, there are also standards a lot of these buildings must meet.

>maybe show some love to paulus hook.
Paulus Hook is part of Downtown. It is NOT a section on par with Bergen Lafayette. If the OP was to try and include every neighborhood "area" the map would be an unstable mess crowded with things like Hamilton Park, VVP, Paulus Hook, Bergen Hill, etc.

One of my friends mentioned their building lost power a while back for multiple days and had to Jerry rig it from their other site. What a clown show. I wish the state would crack down on ppl like this.

Yup, it was years ago. Not sure what point you are trying to make, though... I wouldn't consider Coach as an upscale, high-end brand.

thank you for that. I get nervous contributing in this sub because we have a couple of really persistent trolls here that feel the need to pick and peck at everything... but I've been here over 30 years and frankly this Fulop generation needs a reality check about gentrification.

Americanized Chinese food is also to be loved as it's own sloppy thing. Plenty of places in town slinging classic Americanized Chinese
