I would rather see Apple outside of the mall somewhere near Newark Avenue

that’s wild to me… the clothing is spaced so far out, it’s like they can’t justify having the inventory to actually fill the space

well it probably was in 2018 when it was brand new. im sure the new places on grand that rent for 5k are wonderful.

Mall is too downmarket now given surrounding affluence. Don’t be surprised if Simon decides to cut bait and hands it to a developer. That land must be worth a fortune. Apple is a premium brand and won’t come to such a forum. Hoboken is a likelier candidate.

They could simply drop off a $50 space heater OP can use and pay power for. That would more than comply.
Would cost OP more in power costs though.
The law doesn’t say heat on the landlords dime. Only heat must be capable. They can even pick something intentionally inefficient if they wanted.

Apple wouldn’t be caught dead in that mall
bodhipooh t1_j7ugtv7 wrote
It's a subpar mall, with nothing in it that caters to the demographic that would spur Apple to open a location there. Not one high end store in that mall. It is very much a basic, middling mall.

Went a few days ago, still a generic mall, nothing upscale here.
Sears is still open btw

I’m trying to tell you that the city has changed drastically since 25 years ago and that stance is quite outdated. Your first sentence is silly because you’re making the assumption that things will go back to the way it was which is not true. People would call the cops if there was a number of unleashed dogs or uncontrolled dogs. Owners are also more receptive. The only time I’ve ever seen an off leash dog outside of the dog park i simply asked the owner to leash their dog and they did - it is not complicated or difficult. Dog parks encourage off leash dogs by giving bad owners a place to do it. This ultimately results in more harm and violence. Your stance just seems quite ill informed and based on personal feelings about the dog owners you have come in contact with

We know who and what you are advocates for. (And it’s not the well-being of the local community.)

people coming to this mall look mostly low-med income levels. There are many other areas targeting more affluent groups for Apple to consider, and Newport mall is less likely to be the one.

When's the last time you went? It's changed significantly over the last decade.

This is trash and trolling. If you are naming names its trolling given that the dog park community is small. Have you spoken to the owner? If you have something to say, it to their face? The owner is responsible and works hard to work with the dog. Demonizing the dog and the owner isn't helpful to anyone. Enough, with the performative drama.

genuinely asking. how can this be the "best luxury" tower in Jersey City? VYV is just a rental unit building managed by a company with luxury marketing but ultimately for those who can't afford to actually purchase their own condos in the area. Many luxury ones would be among the condos you can buy.
