I had a friend in there for 10 years. It was a good place to live.

You can get this without the omakase for $55 or $65 if I remember correctly. It's a very good deal for the price to quality.

As someone who builds the high rises in JC. The Newport section has astronomically different winds. The 30th floor of 75 park was petrifying to work on

Get to know the bar tender at Oharas. When you get to WTC at 2am and it’s 38 mins to the next train to journal sq, just go up have a beer and then hustle back down to the station. More annoying than the train time is the oculus door lock bingo where they just start locking random shit and then youre running to the train but the doors are now locked and you have to run around to the other side and you miss it.

how does that quote allude that I don’t live in nyc ….🤔 all that says is that i’m considering moving to JC. you just decided to assume and gave no useful information. a “where do you live now?” would’ve sufficed if you really wanted to say something. should’ve just kept scrolling in my opinion 😭

I hear you. I also thing the proximity to open water and just building might have something to do with it too as generally lots of trees, etc. will generally tamp down wind, and downtown is lacking in lots of tree cover.

It’s for sure more windy than normal because of the storm but I do think it’s windier here on average than other places (no data or science to back that just my observation)

I live in JC - Uber/rides are worth it. The holland tunnel is going to shut down for awhile soon. I’m a Manhattan commuter as well for almost 10 years.

Domodomo
- Akami
- Red snapper w/ lemon zest
- Salmon w/ tomato paste, lemon zest
- Flounder w/ shiso leaf
- Kampachi w/ fried leek
- Bronzino w/ pesto
- Toro w/ scallion
- Hamachi w/ jalapeño
- Hotate w/ umeboshi
- King salmon w/ truffle salt
- Albacore w/ banana
- Uni w/ banana, truffle sauce
- Salmon, tuna, scallion handroll
- Black sesame panna cotta
I’m back after posting omakase at Sushi by Bou! For $65 omakase at domodomo was a steal! My favorite piece was the king salmon with truffle salt :) I think Domodomo had some really creative flavors (especially the banana), but I’m a bigger fan of Sushi By Bou overall (except the King Salmon at domodomo was superb)

You can park there overnight if you ask the front desk people at 9 Regent. They'll give you a pass, I think it was $10 or $15 dollars to park, I can't remember.

To give you (or someone else) the background on the politics thing... Chicago politicians argued so long for the World's Fair that it became known as the windy City because the politicians were long winded...
