Path then MTA to Brooklyn heights. Walk along waterfront there to dumbo, then walk across Brooklyn bridge.

To all those saying an online petition needs to be circulated: that’s not how recalls work. Online petitions for anything related to elections are not valid under NJ law. You would need the real, physical signatures of over 40000 registered Jersey City voters. Anyone who knows anything about the sort of logistics, people, money required to accomplish that knows that no one has those kinds of resources or networks right now.
Should an attempt be made? Yes, because the mere exercise itself will cause people to get involved, sort of “if you build it they will come”.
It’s a lot harder than it looks, if it were easy it would have already been done. However, it’s not impossible and it’s worth it even if such an effort were to fail.

That's good. All that angst far outweighs the price of a fare.

“How dare you use this substance that was banned for my whole life” seems to be reason enough for some dinosaurs.

Doctors report all flu cases they encounter. It’s standard operating procedure for decades.
Same for STD’s.

Even in places they do wastewater surveillance they delay results by weeks for “privacy” even keeping it from health experts.
It’s good for research by epidemiologists but 2-3 weeks after is not really useful for being proactive, which is the real reason they don’t release it quickly.

"Should I just not give my ID next time?" You are out of your mind worrying now, and yet you say "next time"? Did you not learn anything? Pay the fare, or you deserve what you get.

Great list!
I'll add one more suggestion for East of Hudson, via Grand Central / MNR:
Osborn Loop / Sugarloaf / AT via Garrison. There's a sweet new trail that connects from Arden Point Trail across 9D to Castle Rock - and then up to Osborn. Trailhead is practically in the Garrison Metro North parking lot.

Take the train to Newark Penn and jump on the light rail to branch Brook park. It’s huge and beautiful. Especially for the cherry blossom festival in early April.

I was only including community oriented activities, not businesses like the kayak school or jetski rental there. But that raises an interesting question, is there a master list anywhere of nonprofit clubs and volunteer organizations in the area? That would be a handy thing to add to our FAQ.

Fair enough, I meant in context I’d you feel like crap, stay home and don’t go to doctor - why bother …. OP is clearly not that sick if no medical attention is required.
