Just like many have said, I miss the old Brownstone and I hate this trend of making Diners into rebranded hipster overpriced piles of crap... The Tick Tock Diner on Route 3 has suffered a similar fate and Tops Diner in East Newark also got a rebranding...lost all its character and charm of the old building... Only a few dozen true diners left in this region , Bendix on route 17 , Andros in Newark , Broadway Diner in Bayonne , Court Square Diner , Murray Hill Diner to name a few..

Hi, Kearny resident here (we share the Hackensack river). I believe, what you are hearing are airplanes. We’ve been told during different weather patterns, flights slightly tweak landing/takeoff causing the slightest proximity change but creating that low rumble/vibration noise in our town. This has been an issue in our town that residents apparently brought up for years and was a response during one town hall.

Not sure if its the same noise (yours very well could be the PATH), but based on the weather, flight patterns yesterday and the similar noise that Kearny and Harrison residents heard at the same time, I’m 99% sure its airplane flights.

Closer to an hour away from JC, but People for Animals is a great non-profit (registered 501 (c) (3) ) that provides essential vet care. They do dental cleanings in Robbinsville for $150.

i was specifically told that all floors have the same size windows and that upper floors are not full glass view. i asked maybe 4-5 times, i even specifically asked why it looks like that from the outside then, they said behind the glass is still a load bearing wall

when i asked why it was done this way they said it was purely aesthetic / design to have it duo-tone

i trust sales agents as far as i can throw them, and they never showed me any of the upper floors, but just sharing what i was told

I have eaten here a few times. Its not terrible but its not a must go (Brownstone was better). Its definately very pricey. The service isn't bad ( i have never had any issues). I know the owner's daughter bought it and decided to rebrand everything. Don't know why because it was just fine when it was Brownstone. The last thing that area needed was another trendy spot. Have no idea why they close early when they are missing out on a lot of potential business later at night.
