But why should JC property taxes be the same as elsewhere in NJ? That's like saying NJ should lower taxes because in the rest of the country they are lower. JC is quite a different place from the NJ suburbs.

Just had this done with my 4 year old dog at Veterinaire. Reason so expensive is they have to sedate the dog entirely for the procedure. I can’t fully remember but I believe ours was around $800

Ventilation improvements might help. I think hallways are positively pressurized in many buildings for this reason, keeps your air in your place. Maybe the neighbors could do more to ventilate their air outside. Ventilating your place would help too, and cut down on lingering smells. If you can identify where the air is really coming into your place, get a good air filter next to it.

Yeah, I hear you. The cost with extractions was $1,800. The money isn’t the issue, I just don’t want to get ripped off if I can avoid it. Thanks for the feedback!

Also, call Sage Vet Center in Hamilton Park. Best vet I have ever been to, and the prices have not seemed nutty at all.

The vet has to give you a high estimate in case they are going to extract teeth. No matter what you need to do this at a GOOD vet. The anesthesia is risky, and animals die under anesthesia ALL. THE. TIME. Do NOT go to a "discount" place to do this. Ask if that number includes extractions, which may not even be necessary. 25 years ago I paid $800 for a full dental for my dog, so $1,400 seems right to me. But really, of all the things in life to skimp on this is NOT one of them.

I lived in Metropolis Towers for a long time. My EX lived in the Lincoln in HP. Both places had lots of Indian cooking going on. Its just something that you need to get used to if you live in a big building. PS... they might think your cooking smells weird too!

The kids would probably be better educated and more disciplined with foreign teachers anyway. In the good old days, a teacher’s pay wasn’t meant to be competitive with white collar pay. The pay was meant to supplement a spouse’s white collar pay.
