JCPD was investigated by several federal agencies for their corruption… full stop. This is the first link and google the rest. Fuck the original question… it should be how corrupt is JCPD?

Yes of course it'll go up again this year.

On the upside the 2023-2024 school year might be the last year that NJ cuts state aid to JC? According to https://www.nj.com/hudson/2022/03/685-million-slashed-from-jersey-city-state-school-aid-while-bayonne-sees-12-million-boost.html

> Jersey City at its peak received $418.7 million in state aid for the 2016-2017 school year, but a seven-years state austerity plan that put the onus on city taxpayers to fully fund their schools began with an $8.4 million cut in aid for the 2017-2018 school year.

So if that's accurate there won't be a state cut in school aid for the 2024-2025 school year. Of course this is the JC BOE we're talking about, they'll just raise spending anyway & increase taxes in the process.

Cops in general can’t do much and they’ll tell you that to manage your expectations. Preemptive aid isn’t in their rule book so a crime actually has to be committed in order for them to open an investigation. By then, your package is stolen, or your car has been damaged, or someone has mugged you. These are the average complaints while they manage more effort for the infrequent complex cases like an active shooter.

wtf? “. In the remediation plans of 2008, it was determined that no soil capping was necessary for the contamination in these areas since the future turf would grow thick and protect the public from any contaminants while holding the new, clean topsoil in place. However, due to complete turf decline, this protection no longer exists, and it is evident that a significant amount of that topsoil has been washed away by erosion. (It should be noted as well that as an added protection after remediation, to preserve the grass, these areas of the Park were designated for passive recreation only - a guideline that has never really been observed by the community or successfully enforced.)”

The soil is contaminated?
