Man, I really hope it’s not all like that. Sigh.

A&M auto on 8th street next to car wash can take care of that for you. Ask for Al. He’s honest and easy to deal with. Only problem is they are usually busy with a lot of work

You provide links with information, give a summary on the topic and provide an answer to fix the issue. You should be in politics, would get more done for the country

I just got a $190 bill for a 1 bedroom. I am in one of the newish buildings downtown, the ones with the PTAC units. This year, I decided not use the PTAC in the bedroom and decided to get one of those oil filled radiant heater. Did it mainly because I didn't want like the noise. Also, I am on the first floor and my ceilings are 12ft so, the warm air from the PTAC just goes up. I have the radiant heater on all the time, but even before that it was normal to get bills over$150 during the winter months.

That sounds about right.
Last month it was 80 for our 1 bedroom, and we were very diligent about turning off the heater when the room is not used. That includes heater off for bedroom during the day and off for living room during the night. Also we usually set the heater to 68-72F but no higher

Reply to comment by Useful-Depth671 in Is CLEAR membership worth it for mainly usage of EWR/FLL/MIA/LAX? by thebusiness7
Clear also ran that idiotic “give your friends the gift of Clear” promo over the holiday season where members could gift Clear access to their friends and family for 1 trip, it led to a bunch of inexperienced travelers bogging down the lines from Thanksgiving—New Years, I ended up just going through the normal Pre Check line to save time.

Cops are allowed to have their weapons with them when off duty, irrespective of where they are, at least within the state.

Palisade Ave is the least terrible among the terrible options. Webster has a striped lane, but getting there via Baldwin can be scary AF.
Someone above mentioned Central. The pavement is good on Central, but the business district is a little hectic for my liking. Unless I'm going to a business on Central, I usually stick to Palisade.

It may be maintained by volunteers but Van Vorst did a $2million renovation to bring in those elements; people didn't take it upon themselves to build in the fountain, gazebo, gardens and landscaping. You don't just volunteer and do what you want.

Came to say this. Should use very native plants like clovers which is beneficial to the soil and other plants. Shit, just throw random wildflower seeds too.

Is it still $179 a year? I had the free trial of it a while back and decided not to renew. The occasions I had to use it, the regular TSA lines weren’t that long (this was mostly at JFK). If you fly a lot and have the money I guess it might be worth it. Ymmv

The Landscaping at van vorst was, is, all done and maintaimed by volunteers. If people want more gardens in other parks, they have the option of volunteering to make it happen.

Reply to comment by halocene_epic in Do you think a $200 electric bill for a 2 bedroom is too much? by TechnologyPale329
Yup. Though those run for pretty short periods in many households (I guess depends on occupants and habits of course).
But complaining about lights goes back to the 1940’s when lights and refrigerator was 90% of the power bill. That’s just not the case anymore.
