I live on palisade up toward Union City and that is 100% not true. It gets pretty busy up past the supremo. People double parked, trucks blocking etc. would be pretty scary for an inexperienced biker.

Newark ave has a protected bike lane up the hill by Dickinson. I think turning on Palisade would be fine up until you cross 139 and then I would try to ride on Baldwin/Webster.

I always take Palisade ave when heading north on a bike. There is no bike lane but its a wide street and traffic is pretty chill. Most importantly Palisade ave is at the very top of the palisade and basically runs completely flat all the way through HC.

Honestly though I wouldnt overthink it

Palisades is wide and not particularly busy. You can bike on it whether there’s a lane or not (based on your personal comfort level of course).

Edit: yes, yes - my mistake.

Seriously, this whole board is always full of people wondering why difficult and costly problems exist and also bitching about taxes.

As if the people who take their time to work on the neighborhood park aren't aware or it, haven't tried to re-seed recently and are just sitting on piles of sweet, sweet park money and laughing about their big grift.

Jersey runs into the park and Washington doesn't have an exit to the tunnel unless you loop around and go down Grove from the North side.

It basically shuttles 100% of the traffic to Monmouth, and then has almost no other way to get to HP so anyone who lives in that area would be f'd.

Here’s what I think should happen:

All residents should get Waze/Google Maps/whatever on our phones. Then we routinely go in and mark key roads as closed, causing the app to divert traffic a different way. :)

You’re an idiot.

It’s impossible to eat something and get sick right after unless you were poisoned.

And as someone who worked closely with health inspectors in Manhattan back in the day, it would take multiple people calling about the same problem. And not just one or two.

And Honestly did you wash your hands before eating?
