Cool thanks :) how can I create the same affect? Is there an option to switch between lenses i On the edit screen? Or does he have someone filming him switching lenses manually during the shot

That's a complete ripoff.
The back glass literally costs dollars and yet it's way more expensive than a screen replacement.

If you on the Reddit app on iPhone Go to the main IPhone subreddit- click on the three dots top right side- click on Change user flair- and pick which one you want.

Reply to Unlocking Verizon iPhone by Margaretttt-
He scammed you. He wanted a new phone but still had money left to pay on this 13 PM he had with Verizon and didn’t want to wait (or wasn’t willing) to pay it off.
So, it’s not as bad as being sold a stolen device but it’s pretty useless to you - the scammer got what he wanted - money for a phone he no longer cares about so he can go elsewhere.
Always meet face to face with these kinds of transactions - meet in a public place like a police station (many even have areas set up for online transactions) and ask the seller to wipe the phone so you can activate it. If he’s unwilling/unable to do that, something is up.
Once the phone is in your iCloud account, give him the money with confidence. If he puts up an argument, just say he can have his phone back and he can reactivate with his account and restore.
A legit seller should have no issues with this,

Me neither until they gave me the Amazon gift cards! ☺️
> unless you really want the 3% Apple Card cash back on it
Every % counts! :) Plus I like to avoid revolving balances where possible. Or at least minimize them to specific cards. I don’t want charges piling up on that Chase-backed Amazon card while I’m not paying attention. And having all Apple-related charges on my Apple Card soothes my low key OCD.

Apple estimate for screen is $279, so that would be the worst case.

Also it's probably a bit of "damage control" for accidental taps - if your current song is gone with one tap people get annoyed, an app switch isn't as bad

In the US, if OP doesn’t have applecare+, Apple will charge either $349 (back glass only) or $449 (back glass & camera). With applecare+, it’s either $29 or $99. See here for pricing: https://support.apple.com/iphone/repair
Worst case, add tax and it’s probably close to $500.

The gift thing is perfectly fair, I didn’t think of that! As far as the reseller thing I guess I could see it but I also don’t see a need to have it billed through apple (unless you really want the 3% Apple Card cash back on it) bc an authentic apple care plan is tied to the serial number of the phone so when you go to use it the plan will come up automatically without any worry of proof of purchase

I’ve never had this issue but I do know that I can never get my phone to go back to the original full-volume from when I first took it out of the box. Now whether that is speaker degradation, a crappy volume control system with the iOS, or dirt and crap getting into the speakers, I don’t know…

Reply to e-sim for regular phone switchers? by afc74nl
Personally, I think it will be a hassle especially for those who travel and want to switch SIM cards out of devices. If we become locked into E-SIM (if that is the wave of the future) let’s say you’re traveling internationally and don’t want you use your native home plan as it’s much expensive for travel roaming costs. I usually purchase a new sim at the country im visiting/at the airport and pop it into the phone. I know SIM cards can be tedious but they are convenient. I feel removing this choice and making it all “ESIM” while great will then cause other communication challenges and needing to make arrangements if you’re planning to phone swap and/or travel with an out-of-country SIM.
I myself like to switch sometimes between my iPhone and Android device (though it’s been a bit since I’ve done that, the option is still there whenever I need it).

> My only correction to this is that you can get apple care after the first 60 days if you bring the phone into an Apple Store and they inspect it
I was unaware! That’s good to know.
> but I also don’t know why you would plan to do this if you know you want apple care
Two scenarios I can imagine.
The iPhone was a gift and you didn’t come with AppleCare+. Some might not realize it’s a thing. And there might be a legal requirement that they allow it before the limited warranty expires / why turn down money?
Or you buy the device through a third party reseller like Amazon, but want your AppleCare billed and tracked through Apple.
That’s me. Bought an Watch Ultra on Amazon, because gift cards. But I think I’d like to cancel the Apple Care+ tied to my Amazon card and have it billed to my Apple Card instead. I need to contact Support and verify that’s okay. It hasn’t shipped just yet so the AppleCare isn’t active.
> the plan starts from date of device purchase
Or shipping date, whichever is first

Do you plan on activating it? Or just a wifi device? If so go check out TotalWireless. It’s a 3rd party phone carrier that’s owned by Verizon. I got a 6s plus a couple years ago from them so they usually carry a bunch of older devices new. They might still have 8 plus’s for sale new there, but don’t quote me. Not sure how their supply has changed but they had them last year when I was using their service before I switched to T-Mobile.
