I have chosen vent mounts for some time as windshield mounts make my phone too far away and dash mounts have always left a mark after extended time with all the weather change.

The vent mount should be fine but yeas excessive heat will slow down the wireless charge to your phone. Cool batteries always work better than hot ones. When I turn on my heat though it comes from floor panels as heat rises. I use my vents for AC use mostly. Unless being used for side window defrosting.

You’re probably looking at the wrong thing.

Open the camera app. Hit the arrow at the top. A list of options will appear under the viewfinder in the shape of circles. Select the one that looks like a stack of 3 squares, located between the options for Live Photos and aspect ratio (denoted by default as 4:3). Swipe the viewfinder to select a Photographic Style, and look under the viewfinder to find options for both Tone and Warmth as long as you’re not on the standard Photographic Style.

I also don’t like vent ones because they move around or point the wrong direction. I did find a MagSafe dash mount one I like on Amazon, though it was long enough ago that I can’t find a link for you.

I personally just use BOM - they’re weather apps, and all weather apps have a certain amount of discrepancy between data. BOM is our official weather service, so I’d lean more toward their data being more accurate than any others. Just my opinion though - if I want a more detailed forecast, I look out of my window ;-p

Different problem, that person is complaining of overheating. As for the OP's issue, yes I've had lag on mine the entire time of owning. The lag I'm seeing is lagging in animations like when swiping an app to the background sometimes it kinda hitches for a moment. Happened from the beginning, through 2 updates, and now on 16.1 no change.
