The phone will probably not get unlocked because if it’s not on a Verizon account it can’t be unlocked. Thankfully the guy paid it off which is kind of amazing because most of the time people do that when they can’t afford their Verizon phone bill. Kind of interesting that the phone didn’t even stay on the Netwerk for 60 days

Only thing I miss from my pixels is the universal back button swipe and the call screening feature. Otherwise that’s it. Google got rid of the unlimited uploads with the pixel 6 which was a bummer. However the pixel 6 was so poorly optimized and their SoC was built using Samsungs designs. Samsungs exynos processors are just straight garbage compared to snapdragon and even worse compared to Apple.

The dynamic islands behavior is consistent with how the OS operates as a whole. A tap anywhere in the whole OS leads directly to an action whereas a long press always brings up contextual menu. If the dynamic island behaved in reverse then it would be very out of place.

Makes sense to me the way it is. I have never found it to be counterintuitive, if it was the other way it would be so weird to navigate. Treat it like you would any notification, or as a shortcut so you don’t have to open control center and then perform the action.
