I’m no expert in what exact chips they use inside the iPads, but the charging circuitry of iPads is designed for much larger batteries and therefore would probably need much more unnecessary space, so they would probably need to design a new one.

If they could just use the same chips as iPads, they could’ve done this with Lightning too, given that the 2017 iPad Pro could already charge at 30W.

In settings - camera : high efficiency
In settings - photos : auto for transfer, that way you'll have a file usable on your Mac or pc and not a HEIF file

FYI- there is no unlimited google photos for Pixels anymore. It is only available for Pixel 5 and below.

Edit: mistakenly said no google photos upload since pixel 5

They would need to specifically design it to handle more than 20W to handle more than 20W. The port has nothing to do with it, it all depends on what voltages and current the charging circuitry microchips can send to the battery.

Most annoying thing about going from Android to iOS was dealing with my photos and videos. They were not stored locally but on Google Photos. You can use Google Photos on iPhone but having them stored locally and on iCloud is just top notch. But downloading them all took time and data, and after that I'm never switching again lol.

  1. Battery Life will be better. With my 11 PM I would be nearly dead by end of work day. My 14 PM I’m at or above 60% by end of work day.

  2. Setting up a new iPhone, even from a backup, can cause weird battery usage. The iPhone will index the data. An example would be iOS searching all the photos so when you search for something then all the pictures with that item will show up. This causes processes in your iPhone to run. Depending on how many photos you have can be a couple days. My battery usage was crazy the first few days, but since has been phenomenal.

Not been my experience. I have a pixel 3(4 years old) that is still phenomenal. Lg G5(6 years old) that still works great. OG pixel(6 years old) that works great, but mostly use it for the free for life photo storage. I also have the Samsung note 20(2 years old) that is as fast as any iphone. So is my pixel 6(1 year old)

The phone needs time to index and is likely why you are seeing the battery usage you are seeing.

That doesn’t matter as everyone is going to be different.

Yes it’s normal, the camera and processing software are more powerful so it’s going to use more battery over the 11.
