Forgive me if you’ve tried this already but I ran into a similar issue awhile back and what fixed it was doing the restart but holding the side button for like 30 seconds. Try looking at a clock or setting a timer after you’re sure your phone as a charge and try holding onto to the button for a long time and seeing if the Apple logo comes on

Happened to my iPhone Mini 13 the other day, this fixed it for me:

‘Press and quickly release the volume up button. Press and quickly release the volume down button. Press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the side button.’

True, but only once it is online, right? Someone that acquires the phone and guesses the passcode could access data offline.

Yes! Try and see if it recognizes it, if so it’s more than likely a display issue. Could be powering on and not showing the display, or a battery issue. Best case scenario it could be a bunk battery and that’s a $70 repair instead of a full replacement claim, or display repair.

Like the others said, anyone not in your contacts or recently dialed by you is automatically sent to voicemail.

If you accidentally redial an unknown number you’ll need to delete the call from your call log for it to be blocked in the future

I’m no expert and I don’t keep up with all this tech stuff. But, didn’t Apple get into trouble with a lawsuit several years ago? Something about deliberately messing with peoples phones that were older models to force them to upgrade? Around that time I had a friend from work that told me a story and first I thought “conspiracy theory” in my head, but after he told me the story I was like “well damn?!?” I don’t remember all of the details but basically his phone was glitching often. And he was convinced that Apple was doing it on purpose. And he caught up Customer Service and threatened them with this or that and told me that five minutes after he got off the phone with them his phone was working perfectly. As if his threats were taken seriously and they fixed his phone after he hung up with them even though they of course denied it all while still on the phone. I have Apple products I always have. And I’m not planning on switching or anything. I usually upgrade my phone after two years like most people do. Now this could be a complete coincidence, but I swear I never had a problem with my phone. This past August I hit my two-year mark with my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Ever since then I’ve been having problems with my phone. It made me think back to that story my old co-worker told me. Maybe it’s nothing, but it’s awfully coincidental. But, it makes me wonder???

i think it’s also because of how big they became. while people with larger hands can still one hand phones like the 14 and 14 pro and some can even do it with the large models, most people likely can’t anymore. Also the sticker shock of new phones is much higher because we don’t have 2 year contracts to advertise a low $199 “starting price” like back in the iPhone 4 days. Funny tho because new iPhones are significantly more durable

In addition to allowing calls from anyone in your contacts list, the feature will also allow calls from numbers that you’ve called recently. That way you don’t need to add a contact for your auto mechanic to get their return call, for example.

I think the folding phones is that leap. I’ve played with them at stores and they are pretty cool. Use to be a straight up android guy but had the iPhone 4s and 6s and switched back again with the release of the 11 and been with them since and I think if apple releases a folding phone they’d dominate the market.

I’ve also used Android for years until I started using iPhone. I couldn’t tell you the last time I’ve had to use the top left back arrow after two years of iPhone usage, I always just swipe back from the left which works pretty well.

Can you explain exactly what you mean by universal back swipe?
